Mixed review from me for this little break. Firstly, the site at Weeley Bridge is lovely, and we shall certainly return, it was peaceful and very nature friendly. The restaurant does lovely food, not too bad on prices either, staff are very friendly and helpful and the swimming pool area is ultra clean. Top marks for the Park Dean site at Weeley Bridge. The accommodation was booked through a private owner not through Park Dean and was not strictly as described. Firstly it's not a lodge, it's a villa, there is a big difference between a lodge and a villa, as a holiday home owner I do know. It is set right at the bottom of the lake which is lovely. However, it is in need of attention. Decking is gruby, bin in kitchen full of gunk, I would throw it and put in a new one, same as the bin on the decking, nothing worse than other peoples old food swilling around in the bottom of a bin. Ensuite light not working, curtains hanging from poles (I did loop them back on) , fridge kept defrosting itself, one small portable fan that was filthy, no wifi, kitchen sink very slow to drain, needs the u bend unclogging, toilet constantly filling, had to lift the cistern lid to stop it, TV seemed to have a mind of it's own. Talking with nearby caravan owners these things have all been reported many times before and not corrected. A cheese grater would have been nice....simple things!
