Experimente los bosques en esta cabaña elevada de 200 pies cuadrados de una habitación con glamping ubicada en las copas de los árboles, con una terraza privada con vista a nuestro arroyo de rocas. Esta pequeña cabaña está unida a nuestra cubierta trasera ya que vivimos aquí también. Suficientemente amueblado para preparar comidas sencillas o disfrutar del desayuno por una tarifa (se requiere aviso previo). CUATRO días límite de desayuno. Ven a escapar y desconectarse de nuestro "Edén" de los Apalaches. ¡La vista no puede ser mejor que esto! (2 millas de la carretera pavimentada, todos los vehículos necesitan 5 "de espacio libre, 1. 2 millas de grava / tierra desigual y baches. This rental shouldn't be on Vrbo. Vrbo states that there should be no shared spaces with property owners. You have to walk through the home owners screened-in living room to get to what is designated as your space, which is a bedroom. We were very disappointed as well that the drive in was 4 miles on a rough dirt road and we were in a small car that met the clearance specifications but still had difficulty getting in. We decided not to stay after the first night and took our things with us the next morning. Almost immediately we received a message from the host saying she saw we took our things were we not coming back? So she either watched as we left at 7:15am, has a camera somewhere or she went into our room.... not sure but we can definitely say the rental is not private!!

The view from the bed is so beautiful at this time with the leaves changing. Super quiet and the sound of the creek is peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and all the resources from Alice and Doug were super helpful. We would stay again!

2 Days of Tranquility

We spent two days at the Perched Owl and sank into the coziness of the one room suite and found some peace sitting on the private deck listening and observing the river from above. It was a very grounding experience as there isn’t WiFi available and zero service in the area which helped eliminate any distractions. Alice was a great host, very friendly and welcoming and we can’t wait to spend a few more days after spring.

Birding at the Owl's Perch

The Owl's Perch is situated in a remote forest overlooking a beautiful mountain stream. It's a tiny cabin, but very cleverly designed and outfitted. There are many craftsmanship features that help make a stay more peasant and memorable, like the surface of a bedside table made of a think slab of beautiful walnut. The very pretty deck features a trio of locally-carved uprights with animal sculptures. The hosts are very helpful with directions to the many natural attractions in the area. The last couple of dirt road miles approaching the cabin are quite rough, but my 2014 Prius managed it without faltering.Graham County is such a wonderful area and the Owl's Perch is a peaceful and inexpensive location from which to enjoy it.

Lovely property and privacy

This was the first stay we had ever had in close proximity to property owners. And it was perfect. Owners provided the perfect blend of sharing local information and privacy/space. The property was as advertised. Simple, small and private with access to beautiful mountain stream-side sights and sounds.
