Exactly what I was looking for. Very quiet area close to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cabin looked and smelled clean and fresh, and they even went above and beyond with some touches like a TP flower, an animal towel, etc. The owner sent complete check-in instructions beforehand, and the check-in process was smooth. He also left a binder full of useful information at the cabin including instructions for using the hot tub (easier than I expected), TVs, thermostat, etc. The babbling creek sounds are soothing and relaxing, and the creek runs very close to the cabin. Allow yourself plenty of time to just hang out at the cabin to enjoy the peace and the fabulous amenities.Cute towns of Cherokee and Bryson City are close by as are several nice waterfalls. Day trips to Gatlinburg (don't miss the Arts & Crafts loop which, in my opinion, is much better than their congested downtown area), Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Asheville are all doable from here. Consider getting up before the crack of dawn to drive up to Kuwohi (formerly Clingman's Dome) to see the sunrise. Pick a morning with light clouds for a prettier sky and allow time to arrive at Kuwohi at least 30 to 40 min before sunrise to see the best sky colors. Remember to dress warmly as it is much cooler up there.This was my third visit to the GSM area but my first at this cabin. I would definitely stay here again.
