Beautiful Property

Our experience with this rental was wonderful. The house was more gorgeous than I imagined, and the amenities were amazing. We had 3 kids whose eyes lit up when entering the garage and seeing all the bikes, scooters and toys. The house was clean, cozy and charming.

Amazing!

An amazing property with great onsite amenities and a convenient location on the beach near Mackinac City. We really appreciated the ample outdoor seating, fire pits and unbelievable assortment of supplies available. During our weekend downtime between scheduled activities, our two 8 year old kids had no trouble finding fun things to do on the grounds- basketball, soccer, bike riding and lots of quiet nooks to read in. The only real downside is that the wifi was poor and TV didn't get any reception/channels, so we weren't able to watch college football after the kids went to bed. Other than that, we can't recommend this house enough. (We're already trying to talk our retired parents into joining us for another visit at this location next year.)

A GEM!!

We loved our stay here! We were so impressed with the house, the property, the amenities (bikes, toys, games, coffee!), and the property management (Joe and Emilie are wonderful!)! We came in late at night and the lights were welcoming us in. The next morning we got to explore everything the house had to offer, and it’s a lot! So many things for kids and adults to enjoy… this is hands down the best VRBO experience we have had. The only thing I can say that would have been good to know is that the internet is very slow if you are expecting a better connection. My husband had to do some work and was frustrated. This is not the property/property managers problem as they only have ATT in the area and they even came out to hook up a new modem when we were there. Just in that area is not a fast speed. Again, not a huge deal just don’t expect a fast connection and know that in advance. Cell service was fine otherwise! The house is fully stocked! I was worried about no AC but they have so many fans and screens the heat never once bothered us. They have coffee pods already at the house (hallelujah) The beach is beautiful and super shallow way out so people with little kids can relax a bit too :). I cannot say enough good things about this place. It felt so special to stay there and we will cherish the memories we made there forever. We would love to come back again and again!

Beach House Getaway

Great historical property with loads of fun to explore inside and outside. Great for any larger gathering. We had plenty of space! The hosts were extremely kind and generous. Would 100% come back.

Best VRBO experience we’ve ever had!

I can only praise this whole experience. The home is so much more than the photos project. Super clean, beyond stocked (they’ve thought of everything down to multiple throws in each living room for cozy movie nights…local info…extra toiletries in case you forgot…kind and thoughtful surprises…even throws on the back porch for evening sunset peeks…walk to the beach for the full show). The pillows are comfy as are the beds. The grounds are so well kept. The garage is stocked with the best bike selection we’ve ever encountered as well as life jackets in all sizes to name only a few…perfect yard for outdoor family game time…the beach area was our favorite spot! The tunnel of trees to the beach area is magical. The host communicates often and well. We were left without a single worry or care other than to have fun. We enjoyed ferrying to Mackinac Island for the day… ferries are within a 15 minute drive…we enjoyed the downtown Cheboygan area…small town life is so nice…the Crib Lighthouse was a fun outing…definitely bike-able. We felt very safe riding on the streets. We antiqued a bit in St. Ignace which was fun. Soo Locks are a bit beyond St. Ignace and it was raining, so we put that off until our next visit. Enough to keep us busy from Friday to Monday. All in all, an outstandingly hosted VRBO. So very well done all around. We would return here in a heartbeat and hope to do so in the future.

Girls Trip

The property is beautiful!! We enjoyed stunning sunsets by the lake. The house is lovely! We were able to relax individually or gather together because the house was comfortable and roomy. The hosts have provided everything you need. They even provided our special request for pizza pans. Joe helped us with the DVD player so we could watch the movies we brought. Emillie responded to any questions I had very quickly. One friend left an item behind and they said they would send it to her right away. We weren’t too far from Mackinac Island and Mackinaw City to do some exploring. We all agreed this was our best girls trip yet.

Beautiful Place

WOW!! What a beautiful retreat! my husband and I booked this place for my 53rd birthday, looking to kayak and spend time outdoors. We were in awe at the beauty of this property. Outside and in. Love the older house, the woodwork and stain glass windows. The outside property is a dream, all the space and a nice walk to the awesome private beach! Everything is so well cared for. The owner/host has thought of everything! We did bring our kayaks, the weather was terrific so we paddled the bay area in both directions. Had a fantastic time. So grateful we found this place, we are so ready to come back!!

Mini vacation

Wonderful stay

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home and property! So many things provided for the kids to do - toys, beach toys, fire pits, a pack n play for our toddler, and more. We enjoyed the sunsets on the beach and s’mores around the fire. They thought of everything! Definitely recommend!

Great hosts and house with private beach

This is a great find for those looking to relax and unwind! House and garage have everything you need with gracious hosts happy to respond quickly to you. Not much around the house to do but if you drive a bit, lots to do and of course you can’t beat the beach and beauty of the lake!

A Cheboygan Beauty

Charming and spacious home. Gorgeous old style architecture and trim. Perfect for our family getaway. Close to Cheboygan and Mackinaw City. Lots of games (like horseshoes etc), bicycles (which we used quite a bit) and amenities. One nice touch- at least one of the rooms if the lights are off and you open the closet the motion sensor lights up the closet. Pretty cool. Also lots of outdoor chairs for our family to hang out together outside in the beautiful weather. Highly recommend!

Relaxing Family Vacation

A storybook home

This was the best house we have ever stayed in. It is a beautiful house in itself, however they keep the house and property so clean and fully stocked of everything and anything you would need. The property managers are easy to reach and so attentive to any needs. They gave great recommendations for dinner! The kids always had something to do, especially when it rained. They have every game and dvd imaginable. As well as, a great collection of books for all ages. This will be our go to house whenever we are in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful stay

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. This home was equipped with everything we could need and we all instantly felt at home. I couldn’t believe all the things they had available for children to enjoy. I have 4 children, 8 years and under, and they always had something fun to do. The beach was absolutely perfect for them and as a mom, I always felt like they were safe. The gentleman in charge of the property made sure we knew of his availability if we needed anything, which was so kind. This is certainly a home I know we’d love to return to when we head back to this area of Michigan in the future.
