Quick Family Trip & College Visit to Charleston
This was a great location and very easy stay. We weren’t home much, as there’s so much to do in the area, but it was exactly what we needed. Thanks.

Don’t trust pictures
Mice in the walls so literally Didn’t sleep at all, my husband recorded it so we had proofbeds were ok pillows were awfulBathroom was so old which is why it wasn’t pictured One lounge chair outside was used by each of my teenagers, but we couldn’t sit outside as a family. If there were outside cushions and a tablecloth table and chair would have been usable putting Green wasn’t usable. Hammock wasn’t thereSomeone parked a golf cart in front of our entry stairs the whole time we were there- rude and uncomfortable but fineArea is pretty shady but if you are familiar with cities and gentrification you know how to move around safely and respectfully If you’re in your 20s and you want a place to stay for a girls weekend or a golf weekend go for it Not a place for adults

Pack your own TP
1. Make sure you reach out and remind Stay Duvet you’ll need parking if you need it. It’s street parking via one permit only. One paper permit for each day - not transferable to another vehicle according to the permit. 2. They provided 1 black towel for face washing and left a note in the bath to only use black towels for your face. 12 normal white towels otherwise. 3. One roll of TP is included. Felt like 2020 again. No tissues either. 4. Check the fine print about the pool. (Adults only and off site)5. Vrbo’s fee hit as 85 not 75 like in the receipt. Avoid for business travel. 6. Stay Duvet had reasonable response times, would imagine their other properties in Charleston are ok. We for sure feel tricked by the listing and will stick to hotels in this town.

Charleston
Our stay in Charleston was lovely. Our apartment was clean and charming. We weren’t sure about the neighborhood at first but soon realized we were quite safe and close to a lot of great places. The cigar factory is very cool with 2 great restaurants. We rode our bikes downtown to explore the historic district and French quarter. My only real complaint is the pillows. The bed linens were nice but the pillows weren’t.

Cozy Little Place
This is a nice little place that is very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. My travel plans changed unexpectedly late in the day prior to my scheduled check-out, and the customer service when requesting a one-night extension was prompt, courteous and accommodating. I would stay here again.

Comfortable!
This place was very comfortable to relax and recoup in between our tourist activities in Charleston. What is the rate? Fans in every other charger room and lots of pillows! Kitchen is great! Parking was super convenient and the host got back to me right away whenever I had a question. The Merch & Mash is across the street. Great place for a coffee and had a delicious gluten free treat available this morning.

Didn’t want to leave
This place was so gorgeous, cozy perfect for me, and my daughters we loved having the little putt putt green in the backyard. We loved being able to curl up on the couch and watch a Christmas movie. Making dinner and lunch in the kitchen was so nice felt like home and we didn’t want to leave. Definitely will come back and stay here again the location was also prime parking was easy and noise level was considerably low being that it was around a trafficked area.

Find another property. The building is in need of proper updating and leveling.
The photos look better than the property. Communication with the property was difficult to find on our emails. Once I found the chat section on the website, communication was all via text only. Could not get ahold of anyone via telephone nor email.
Once we got into the property we noticed this was most likely a fast turn around for profit. The building is in need of proper updating and leveling. If you have elderly or fall risk people in your party do not stay here. Floors are unleveled in kitchen/backdoor and where the kitchen meets the living room. Sofas were comfortable, both back bedrooms beds were comfortable, the larger front bedroom with the bay window needs rearrangement of furniture. They have the very uncomfortable queen bed crammed into a section between the fire place and wall where it is difficult getting in and out especially in the dark. Stubbing your toes on the fire place bottom mantle tile. You could also hear the furnace going on and off all night even though it was a comfortable 66 outside. This made sleeping very uncomfortable and hot. We woke several times in the night to finally move to the back bedroom to try to sleep.
The bathroom desperately needs updating and seems dirty even though it is clean. Only a shower as there are no plugs for the tub nor one of the bathroom sinks. The smell from the sink stinks. Windows do not open for fresh air. You cannot move the A/C or heating to adjust the temperature, it has to stay at 70F as the note says it will ruin the piping.
There is a make shift kitchen table that you have to move into the living room to use for 4 people and you will need to move the benches from the other rooms to use as seating. It only seats 4 not 6. The TV only has streaming app available.
Windows are very thin and you can hear every neighbor, noisy cars and buses as well as the honking train nearby.
The backyard area has been thought of in a considerate manner with the hammock, putting green and BBQ but was haphazardly put together. The table is on VERY unleveled ground and there are only 2 chairs that sit level to the table.
You are also in an area that is still a but sketchy (shady characters) if you plan to walk in the immediate neighborhood. This is also about a 20 minute walk to where the busy part of King St. is. There is 2 parking spots for the down stairs occupation at the property.
Based on other properties for the price this one needs to be heavily discounted for the condition and state it's in.

Great stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and well appointed in what appears to be an up-and-coming neighborhood. Location was good, but you still had to drive to get to many of the main downtown and tourist areas. My daughter loved the putt putt green in the yard!

too good to be true
The outdoor area is very dated. The photos must be very old. The grill was rusted to pieces. The bathroom window was not lockable. The upstairs neighbor's activities could be heard clearly downstairs. The front porch furniture was filthy. The kitchen was poorly equipped.

BEWARE! The pictures on this home indicate a much nicer house and location. The property borders a very sketchy part of town. Don't recommend walking alone if you plan on staying on this property. Gnats swarming in the main living area. Popcorn ceiling coming down in the bedrooms along with huge cracks in the ceiling. We did not stay on this property after setting foot inside. BEWARE! BEWARE!

Excellent location.
Great location. Right price. Owners were incredibly responsive when we had a minor accident. The only issue were the biting gnats. There was a bit of a gnat problem inside but I think it was due to a fly nest in the succulent hanging over the kitchen sink. Also there is a feral kitten under your front porch.

Was overall a good house. Not knowing Charleston, it was not in the best location. The bathroom, especially the shower could use a once over
