Fun in the sun!

A block from the ocean or just relax with your own private pool. Rent a golf cart and put the car away. Eat hot donuts at Britts, Italian ice in the afternoon, and the amusement park at night.

Spring break retreat

We loved the property and felt right at home. The neighborhood is great for walking with little ones and the home is just a short stroll from the ocean. The host was readily available and checked in with us to make sure that we were enjoying our stay. We hope to come back next year!

Excellent Home - Many Amenities

We had a great time at Casa del Sol. The location was excellent - convenient to the beach and pier, and a short bike ride to the boardwalk. My teenager and his friend used the house’s bikes to get around most of the area. The house and pool were clean and nice. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Perfect beach getaway!

We very much enjoyed Carolina Beach. It was our first time there and also our first foray into VRBO. Al was a great host to work with and gave us suggestions for restaurants and other interesting things to do and see. The beach was about a 3 min walk from the house which was perfect! The house was clean and was stocked with whatever we needed. The guests before us somehow damaged the pool. Al was able to get repaired for us before our arrival and sent his pool guy out a few times during our stay to fix a small leak. We rented a golf cart, which we didn't need for getting to and from the beach, but it was nice to have and got us out of paying for parking in the town parking lots. We made a day trip to Wilmington for a tour of UNCW which was also very nice. Carolina Beach was perfect for our family of 4 and our dog Hero. We are looking forward to returning next year!

birthday weekend trip

The location of the house is great - walkable right onto the beach and minutes from restaurants and activities on the island. There were some minor cleanliness issues with the upstairs sheets having a stain on them that we had to swap from another bed and the showers and bathrooms having hair and built up dirt/grime upon arrival. Overall, the house was great for our short stay. There are beach accessories to use and the pool area was a lot of fun. Great communication overall with the owner.

Very nice home. It had that beachy feel to it that you want. It smelled so clean when we walked in and they gave complimentary items for our stay that made it so easy. Their instructions were very easy to follow. We would definitely stay again.

Listing not disclosing high flood risk of property and road access

Host did not disclose flood road closure gates on the road accessing the property and that the property has a known severe flooding risk. First day we got to the property the road access to the property flooded for hours and clearly marked road closure gates were down. Could not enter or leave property. Property owner unresponsive and did not address the flooding issue of the property. Had to leave as soon as flooding subsided and got another place. Owner should include in the listing description the clearly marked flood road closure gates that reduce accessibility to the property.

Great Carolina Beach home

We had 5 adults and 2 children stay a week at Al’s house. Great location— get a golf cart and you are minutes away from all of kinds of great food and fun. The beach was only a couple of minutes walk as well. The house had all of the amenities you could think of, including a pack and play and high chair for little ones. Great communication from Al throughout the stay. We recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Great House & Location

This house was by far the most well stocked & well kept beach rental we’ve had. Kitchen gear, beach and bath towels, toiletries, etc. The complimentary bottle of wine & coffee was a great touch! Also had a nice high chair & pack n play for our 9month old. The very short walk to the beach was great since we had a lot of gear for two small children & was easy to go back and forth from beach to house if needed. Owners were very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed and answered our questions very quickly. We had a fabulous time!

Love Casa del Sol

Casa del sol is the perfect beach getaway! The property was a minute walk to the sands of the beach and the outdoor shower at the end of the day was luxurious. We enjoyed using the outdoor seating spaces including both the front and back decks. We especially enjoyed morning coffee relaxing in the adirondack chairs. The home was impeccable and had everything you need to make your stay relaxing. The interior decor was so well done and inviting. The palm trees were a plus to the outdoor landscape! Our host family were excellent communicators and made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Carolina Beach

We really enjoyed our stay and Al was a very good host checking in on us. The home was very clean, open and nicely decorated with a beach home feel. We rented condos in the past and had issues with noise above as well as beside us but no such issues with this home. I have a 4-wheel drive and we drove on the beach literally 2 min. from the house. We had such a good time driving on the beach. We will definitely come back and rent this house again!
