From the moment we booked this home, we had wonderful communication with the owner. They worked with us through a winter weather event and showed kindness & concern. Once we arrived, the home was just as described. The home had ample supplies & blankies & all the comforts of home. We didn’t spend time on the porch but from the kitchen window we watched a hawk on the hunt in the field out back, swooping down for a snack. This house was simply perfect for our weekend getaway. I look forward to staying again.

Usually we stay at resorts for continuing education programs. For a family vacation we wanted a quieter, more private environment. Sea Salt cottage is perfectly appointed, spacious, every accommodation and a large yard with deck, Adirondack chairs and fire pit. I enjoyed sitting on the porch with my coffee, book and dog at 5 am. The neighbors are considerate of your privacy, yet friendly. The house is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had so much space and still could come together in the common rooms. Absolutely loved it! Making plans for next year!!!

Cape Charles Visit

Gretat home, arrived and the property is as advertised. Comfortably decorated and spacious! Kitchen diningware and cookware are well stocked for those that enjoy cooking. The beds are comfy and the bedrooms also spacious. The backyard with grill and firepit were a blast to use. The location is a short couple mins to town and nicely central to all the things we had planned. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it!!

Long weekend at Cape Charles

Stayed for a long weekend with my Cousin and his wife to check out Cape Charles. The house was cozy and very workable e.g. kitchen etc. Ate out some but also cooked a meal or 2. House is close to many restaurants and shopping for wives. Beds were especially comfortable and walk in shower great for us oldies.

Cape Charles getaway

We really enjoyed our time in Cape Charles and staying in Sea Cottage. It was clean, comfortable and just a sweet little house. It is located just a couple miles from downtown Cape Charles, but quickly and easily accessible to everything. For those with any mobility issues there are a few steps to get in and then inside there are two steps between the two sections of the house. There is a large walk in shower that was nice to use. We will definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend!

This was our first time in Cape Charles and The Sea Salt Cottage was part of the reason the trip was so great! First of all, we were happy to find a nice place to stay that allowed us to bring our dog. The cottage was very clean and well decorated. The location was perfect! Only several minutes to the local shops, restaurants and the beach. There were so many things to do! (Even with a dog - most places were very dog friendly) We drove to Wachapreague (30 min) one day for lunch and went up to Chincoteague (70 min) another day for a scenic boat cruise. If we weren’t so busy exploring we would have used the fire pit out back of the cottage which also looked very nice and relaxing. Would definitely book this cottage again :)

Very nice property, spacious and well equipped. We used the grill and so wanted to roast marshmallows on the fire pit but it was just too hot and humid. Good ac and hot water. Large kitchen and plenty of eating/sitting area. Very convenient location. We really liked all the paintings, beautiful pieces! Thanks for sharing your property, we’d definitely book again.

Nice Spot

This house is older, but is clean and well kept. The porch and backyard were perfect spots to enjoy the outdoors. The driveway is a real plus. It has room to park cars and a boat. The host was quick to respond both times we contacted him. The house is a quick bike ride to town, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Get ready to relax!

Cape Henry Weekend

My father and I attended my niece's wedding in Cape Charles. We enjoyed our stay and everything was as advertised. Very clean and tidy. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice, clean and quiet place to stay. It is about a mile or so outside of town.
