DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU HAVE EITHER A TRUCK OR SUV WITH 4WD. The road to the cabin is dangerous and even with 4WD we could barely get up the hill. Two cars ended up in ditches and vacations were ruined because they couldn’t leave the cabin. The host would only communicate through VRBO but there was no WIFI. When I did leave messages they were ignored and I got an automated check out notice instead. There was a huge wasp nest right above the loft window where my daughter slept, no screens on the windows so if you opened a window all the bugs (and a cat!) would come in. The cabin was pretty, but overall, It was a very stressful experience for us because every day we knew we’d had to navigate that road. We had to leave two days early because we were worried the rain would wash away the road and we’d be stuck. This was my first and only time using VRBO.

Great place to stay, it was everything I had hoped for. Loved the wooded setting with lots of space to sit outside. The main bedroom was spacious and comfortable. There are other cabins nearby but the trees make it feel more private. It was a little confusing driving up the hill to the cabin because the lot numbers are not all clear so I thought we passed it and turned around when actually we didn't go far enough up the hill. A neighbor offered to help us with directions which was nice. Once we arrived everything else went great, the place was lovely and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin is very well equipped and tastefully decorated to accommodate brief and longer stays. My wife and I were impressed with the cleanliness and thorough furnishings to ease daily living like cooking and sleeping. Our stay was primarily for riding our UTVs. The cabin is perfectly located to quickly drive to the riding area and then back. Overall, just a wonderful place to stay while visiting the Red River Gorge area regardless of your planned activities. Steve & Dawn

The cabin is small but very nice. Everything was clean and worked well. It's a little challenging to find, and you'll likely need a 4x4 to get to it. Internet is very spotty but it's there. I would recommend it for a small group, it's a nice getaway. Host was very responsive, appreciated that.

4th of July in the Gorge

Spent the week hiking, swimming in the river, exploring caves and visited Beattyville for a July 4th festival. Such a fun time! Cabin was cozy and clean, such a good spot for an “unplugged” getaway.

This was the perfect place to get away and relax. The lack of internet took a little time to get used to, but wasn't a hindrance at all. Close to everything we needed; hiking trails, coffee shop, Red Point BBQ and more. Would absolutely stay here again. Sam was great!

Cozy Cabin

The surrounding woods and the cabin’s location make this the perfect spot for a peaceful Kentucky getaway. Tucked away just outside a charming little town, there’s plenty to enjoy—off-roading, fishing, and rock climbing, all nearby! The cabin itself felt wonderfully secluded and serene. We truly enjoyed our time unplugging and embracing the quiet beauty of nature.

Lovely get away

Loved the cabin. Very cute and cozy. The upstairs loft is small for adults. Perfect for small children. The smell of the water is more than off putting! There was also a lot of strange activity across the street-huge fire and scraping glass.
