Comfy, cozy with the most amazing views. The home was perfect for our family of 4 with teenaged kids! Home was clean and porch sitting views were the best. We watched sunrise and sunset from the two different porches! Comfy beds, kitchen stocked with everything needed and location was perfect for grocery runs, dining out and beach ramp access! We also loved the “Vintage Bookshelf Boardgames” and had family duels nightly. The hosts have thought of everything you need- Can’t wait to book this place again!!

Stay was excellent view was wonderful just needed cable watched gun smoke over and over and over but if it was nice out wouldn’t of watched no tv anyway

House is comfortable and has wonderful views. We were there for Thanksgiving but ate out. Wish the windows worked properly to let fresh air into the bedrooms. Top windows would fall down almost hitting fingers. Most places usually provide bar soap for bathrooms. We donated two unused bars for the next guests. Note, it’s on a point and can be very windy. Overall it was totally adequate for our family.

Great place!

House was clean upon arrival. We had a blast. The only improvement would be to change the kitchen trash can. It is too small. Other than that we had a blast!

The Channel House

After a year and a half of craziness due to the pandemic what I wanted so much was to spend time with my family- beach time but also quiet time, which is what we all had. The views from both decks are stunning Thank you so much for sharing your home!

What a view

The location of this property was by far the best. Sunrise on one side of house and sunset on the other. Just enough space for our family. Linens provided and beds made when we got there was a nice feature. Only thing lacking was a blender for frozen drinks but we managed. We loved this property so much we already have it saved for next year!

Comforting

Upon arrival had issues with a few items not being cleaned, but staff came out and took care of things very quickly. I was impressed and without hesitation would re-visit this property. The views were amazing and enjoyed every moment. Did have issues with missing plug in kayak and was not able to use. This was from the service place with the $250.00 credit. Everything else was great!!!

It's worth it for the view alone.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great vacation rental. it's quiet and peaceful. Some things to note on this property, there is 2 bicycles to ride, and they have 3 body boards, so don't rent those things. The boatyard cat's name is Buster, and is super friendly and visits daily. $20 worth of amenities would have made the stay better - Things like dish soap for pots, some spray cleaner, a swiffer and toilet brushes for when you bomb the bowl. We have 2 young kids, they had a great time crabbing, flying kites, coloring on the rocks with chalk & swimming in the sound.

Peaceful coastal views

We enjoyed the tranquil views of Pamlico Sound from the two porches of this house. At sunrise and sunset we saw coastal birds and fish jumping. It was beautiful. We also loved being close to the National seashore and walks in the woods and on the beach. The house is comfortable and we’ll equipped. We wished there were screens on the windows.

Beautiful water views and great location for our labrador to vacation with us.

We love the Channel House, this is our second visit and we plan to return for many more. We love the location on the water, views from every window. Spacious living area and nice gated deck for the dog to enjoy with us.

Cleaning needed

Overall great little place, private location, amazing sunsets, the only complaint we had was the cleanliness of the house, the floors had not been cleaned we found diet pills under the sofas with wrappers , the trash was stuck to floor with syrup and the pots and pans definitely needed a wash before use . We did email and ask for early check in and was accommodated , early check in was 3.
