Like another guest, I cried too - when we left. 😊 Arriving late the first evening, first glimpse of the wonderful mountain views was at sunrise! After picking our jaws off the floor, we realized Stoney Point was well appointed in every other facet too. A couples retreat w/food, wine, music & lots of solitude. We brought specialty ingredients to the gourmet kitchen. Gas stove, quality cookware, knives, strainers, service for charcutiers, baking, condiments, etc. = Lots of tender, playful moments around those sexy stainless countertops!
Exceptional lighting to match the mood, indoors & out. Great sound system for music & movies and a balcony hot tub for achy bones! The bedding was phenom! Slept wonderfully on a high-end mattress w/perfectly weighted linens, opened the windows a bit and yes, woke up to wonderful views. All was supreme! Even light hiking, off-roading excursions and Biltmore tour were more relaxed and pleasant knowing the haven was so well equipped.
To the attentive owners, Robert & Stephanie: Just want to say the first night, pulling up to Stoney Point in the darkness to an illuminated American flag, well as a VFW that meant the world. Thank you for everything! Can’t hardly imagine what it must’ve taken to build this much luxury so deep in the wilderness. We'd love to come back to see the Blue Ghosts in a year or two
