Beautiful place with great access to The Shenandoah area!

Happ to have found this place with such great access to hiking, wine tasting and checking in to several towns.The property is lovely and clean. We had everything we needed during our stay.The hot tub is big and clean with a great view of Skyline drive. Unfortunatley, there is some home construction being done below the property and someone saw fit to park a large dump truck with its dump up, right in front of the home. So sad we did t have the view we expected.Regardless of that, it’s a great location and stocked with all you’ll need for a great stay near the Shenandoah mountains!

Great getaway!

Our family of 6 adults enjoyed the weekend at this lovely home. It was a perfect location to access Shenandoah National Park. We enjoyed the views and hot tub after our hike. We also used the gas grill to make dinner together one night.

Tranquil and Amazing

So comfy - great views

Loved our stay here and loved the views! Such great house with everything we needed and Jim was a great host! We had a wonderful time in the hot tub and in the cabin and it was close to everything! Highly recommend!

Most beautiful views

This place has the most beautiful views! We were lucky to have perfectly clear skies and pleasant weather during our stay. Thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the porch, stargazing from the fire pit, and relaxing in the hot tub. Amazing trip!

Fun weekend

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend. This was the perfect place to be out in nature and yet only a 15 minute drive into town. Place was clean. Screened in porch was great and so was the hot tub. Took a minute to figure out how to work the range and coffee pot but after we figured that out it was all good. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The rental was beautiful. My only complaint is the toilet paper was thin. Otherwise, it was a breathtaking location and a nice home! We enjoyed our stay!

Gorgeous Views and Property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Very clean and comfortable and the views outside are breathtaking! A quiet retreat in nature among the mountains of the Shenandoah Valley.

Nice secluded setting.

Quiet with great view of the mountains. Can see cars driving on skyline drive with binoculars. Great stargazing from the hot tub. Short drive to the north entrance of the national park and to the state park. Would suggest bringing own cooking utensils and cookware if planning making on family meals. Bed and toilet in master rather low which may be difficult for those with limited mobility. Overall, very pleased.

Beautiful home with beautiful views

Beautiful home—just as pictured. The views are gorgeous and we enjoyed the comfort of the home after long days hiking and mountain biking. We communicated once with the homeowner and they were quick to respond with detailed info. Our teens enjoyed the fast internet. We also appreciated the food guide provided. My only feedback would be having more cookware/kitchen items would be nice. We typically eat some meals at the house while staying at a rental. Additionally, having more paper towels/garbage bags available would be preferred. If they were there, I didn’t see them. Overall, the stay was great and we’d come back. Thank you!

Great views and close to wineries

Not far from Front Royal but feels very much in the country. Great Mountain views. Home is comfortable and clean. Good mattresses. Clean and comfortable. Quick response from owner/main contact person. Easy driving distance to numerous wineries and other attractions. The only disappointment was the kitchen has very minimal ‘stuff’ to accommodate you if you plan to cook or make meals. This home would benefit from just a small investment in some decent kitchen stuff for those who want to make a meal.

A Little Piece of Heaven!

Beautiful property. Very clean and well stocked. Comfy beds. Love the screened porch and the fire pit. Loved the hot tub!!! Absolutely the greatest of views of the Shenandoah Mountains out the back door. Beautiful location!. Two suggestions....#1 grass was kind of high....could have been mowed. It was kind of high. 2nd- include instructions for operation of the cooktop. Thankfully Google provided a customer service number and we got instructions on how to unlock the burners and operate the cooktop safely. This was a first for us cooking on a cook top and we could not figure out how to unlock the burners. These are 2 minor things but just thought I would mention them. Would definitely stay here again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been longer. Hope we left your home as goood or better than we found it! Thank you for providing such a lovely home! Dave & Michele Singer

Tranquil stay

Beautiful location and well appointed home. 10 minutes to the river! Wonderful to come home to the house after a long day on the water. Watched moonrise over the mountain. Home clean, beds super comfortable. Not too much in the kitchen, make sure to bring everything. Had s/p, coffee, sugar.

Beautiful, peaceful stay

We stayed during our time moving our daughter into college. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Best sleep I have ever had in a VRBO with a comfortable mattress and very quiet location. We made friends with the neighbors- cows came to visit daily at 8pm. Hot tub was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I did have to look up user manual for the induction range top LOL. Will make future visits while our daughter is in school.

Shenandoah Getaway

Great getaway. House clean and comfortable, ‘just right’. Location wonderful! Watched bluebirds, doves, hummingbirds and sparrows on flowers in the old flower border. Convenient to entire Shenandoah Valley and the Park. Hope we can visit again.

Home of the Cows

This property is a great spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Close to activities such as Shenendoah River and National Park. Super host is awesome and just a phone call away for any questions. Always looked forward to seeing our evening guests outside in the pastures :) Hot tub is amazing! Because we went in the middle of summer, it was hot! Would love to be able to jump in a pool! :) Definitely an option for next year!

House on Buck Mountain Rd

The property was simply wonderful. It met all of our needs and expectations (though it could have used a hook for a towel by the shower in the master bathroom and a ceiling fan on the screen porch and a mixing bowl). Despite those minor things, it was lovely and completely comfortable.

Peace and quiet

Beautiful home. Plenty of room. BIG yard. Quiet surroundings. Listen to the birds while drinking morning coffee. Go hiking in the park during the day. Relax and watch the stars at night in the hot tub. Highly recommend if your staying in the area. We will be back!
