The room was very nice and so clean ! The property is kept up very nicely My only complaint is the new breakfast There were no eggs and not a great variety to choose from They had chicken cutlets which I thought was odd for the breakfast meat and it was about three times the size as the Beaufort biscuits which were different ! Maybe we came on an off day or maybe the breakfast is better on the weekends not sure My husband really wanted some type of eggs even boiled eggs would have been better than no eggs ! Hopefully they will improve the breakfast because we love to stay here for its convenience and the nice rooms !

The Beaufort Inn is a beautiful, boutique style hotel, ideally located in the heart of downtown and close to everything. The staff was friendly, our room was immaculate and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is due to the amount of steps to our room (no elevator). There was no mention of this prior to booking, and the pictures of the room led me to believe there would only be a small number of steps leading to the front porch. There were, indeed, 4-5 steps up to the porch, but we were on floor 2 (again, no mention) and there were a good 15-20 additional steps leading up to our room. This may not be a problem for some, but I’m in my 60’s with a bad back and knees. It took multiple trips hauling luggage up and down those steps before we were able to get settled. Having my daughter with me helped tremendously! The room, itself, was gorgeous and roomy, with a lovely little balcony out back for morning coffee. We were also given vouchers for breakfast each morning at either of two local restaurants. It did not cover the entire cost, but a significant chunk of it, and the food at both places was quite good. Those steps were a bear though, and I will now be wiser when making future reservations. Hopefully, those reading this with similar concerns will be better informed too. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay in charming Beaufort!

No more pink

I was so excited to stay here based on the reviews but first and foremost they changed the main house color from pink to white and believe it or not that’s why I booked it because it was so cute and different. Secondly, I have to say the bathroom was very disappointing. There was only a rain showerhead and for some of us that do not wash our hair every day, it was almost impossible to get washed because there was not enough room between the walls and the water pouring out from above you to get cleaned up properly. The toilet took forever to refill. The staff was very nice but extremely disappointed and you changing the color and your bathroom set up.

Had a great time at the Beaufort Inn staying three nights for our wedding anniversay. Staff were extremely helpful. Our original room was on the worst side for the really high temperatures during our stay. The staff quickly and helpfully moved us to another excellent room. Highly recommend the Beaufort Inn!

Good Location, parking so-so, low on amenities

Location is great for downtown however parking can be challenging next door and a long walk depending on where your room is. Room didn’t come with enough towels and they didn’t have any available until the end of our trip. One Keurig maker inside is all they offer. You get vouchers for two restaurants that are worth $10 or $7 each, which they didn’t explain. Room was very far away and was an accessible room, the windows did not have curtains and a lot of light came through. The bathroom tile was dirty as well as the shower, lots of moldy grout. They need to clean/mop the floors. Beds and decor was average and updated enough for us.

Loved it! Stayed with a dog in a balcony suite...near the main bldg/lobby. Being a history buff made the stay that much cooler. Beautiful grounds with fountains, flowers, tabby work and that "je ne sais quoi" ambiance. We walked everywhere we wanted to go in town after parking in a free and safe lot. Vouchers for breakfast were A+...one spot a bagel shop, the other a restaurant. Highly recommend the Beaufort Inn! To quote Schwarzenegger: I'll be back!

Underwhelming to say the least. Floor and rugs were filthy. Bathroom was dirty. Lock on door was loose. No WiFi password was provided, I tried calling and texting front desk with zero response. We have stayed at the Inn before in the main house and loved it. This time, we came back with our kids and stayed in the Greyhound Flats. The shower windows were moldy and the shower did not drain, and a door to the side of the building was unlocked leading directly to our room. Had my wife not pulled the handle out of curiosity, anyone could have wandered into our room in the night. Due to construction, there was no breakfast, just some vouchers to nearby restaurants, which did come close to covering an average breakfast. In addition, we had planned on using the advertised in unit laundry, which was apparently not available we learned after we arrived. Over our 4 night stay, we spent additional money on breakfasts and laundry off property that we hadn't planned on, which also added extra unnecessary complications to our daily schedule, which we thought we had planned to avoid.
