Charming Vintage Home

Very enjoyable home! The beds were so comfortable and very complete kitchen. Easy walk to grocery and other stores. We all agreed we would stay here again! Very charming home!

Adequate for our family

Photos were accurate. BBQ grill was not usable. No beach chairs, except for rusty ones outside. TV hard to figure out. It met our basic needs. Location good.

Beautiful family vacation

My son and his family live in Costa Mesa. We flew in for his 40th birthday and scheduled a few days on Catalina Island. It was perfect!! Beautiful place, Beautiful weather, Beautiful people!!!!

A nice place in a wonderful location. Very prompt in responding to any potential issues and problem.

Me, my wife, and friends stayed here for the Catalina Marathon. It was an ideal location with everything literally in walking distance. We would stay here again, for sure.

A Birthday in Avalon

We chose this place because of the fireplace. We were disappointed when we got there and realized the fireplace didn’t work. In the photos it showed a working fireplace. The beds were not very comfortable. The carpet didn’t look like it had been cleaned in quite a while. The location was fabulous and the check-in was very simple. One big plus was a very well-stocked kitchen. Having two bathrooms was also an asset.

Great property, great location and great value

House was perfect! Cozy and quaint, 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms made this the perfect fit for 3 adult couples. Didn’t need to bring a single kitchen item as this house is fully stocked. Great location and close to the grocery store for any items. Close proximity to everything fun. Highly recommend this house.

All was well except the carpet in living room and beds. Carpet in the livingroom is very dirty that my baby’s outfit got so dirty while playing in livingroom. My baby even got sick. Even we adults walking in there without shoes n socks our feet got so dirty. Carpet needs to be replaced. Livingroom is not as big as shown in picture on the site. Beds were small and not cozy. Besides, everything was nice.

Great little place

Small quaint cottage centrally located. Clean with everything we needed for a family of 4 kids. We bought our bikes from the mainland which was fun and allowed us to get around easily. All in all a great stay.

The property was very quaint but blends right in the community. The hosts were pretty responsive to our needs. The modem did not have a power adaptor and they fixed it right away.

Great house with everything you need.

This is a nice size house with a full kitchen and room to read, eat and share good times. It is two1/2 blocks from the Vons market and easy to get anywhere from the ferry to the restaurants to the avalon ballroom on foot. For us (allover 60) the beds were a bit soft and the carpets in the living room and bedroom could be nicer but the kitchen made up for it all. The evolve team were great, easy instructions good wifi!!! We will probably return.!

4th of July week in Avalon

The house is as pictured, quaint. I might call it "grandma's beach house". The neighborhood is quiet. The living room still has it's original features from when the home was built for Wrigley's bookkeeper in 1929. The Kitchen and bathrooms have been updated. We loved the large, eat in kitchen. There were plenty (too many) of pots and pans, utensils, bakeware. There were many kitchen appliances, toaster, coffee maker, hand mixer, but no air fryer or instant pot. No crock pot either. The problem with all of the above was the disorganization. Mixer was not with the beaters. Some appliances did not have lids (or I just did not find them). The fridge worked well. The dishwasher was fine. The washer and dryer worked well too and it was nice to have them. The stove needed to be adjusted; the flames were so high it was making the pot bottoms black. The 2 back beds were comfortable. The biggest problem we encountered was the double bed in the bedroom across from the kitchen The 4 poster is a 3 poster only, broken off maybe years ago? The headboard is not attached to the frame and bangs every time you roll over. The whole thing is just falling apart. It sure could use a new queen bed/headboard/frame in there. Beware the lack of air conditioning on hot summer days. We found if we just left all the windows open, it was better. It is comfortable and homey and I would stay there again. It worked well for our 3 generation family of 8. Word to the owner: I would be happy to go organize the kitchen and bring a crock pot over for a free night's stay!

Cute, Clean and Affordable House

This was a very cute and cozy house. The kitchen was spacious and easy to use. The only complaints were, the beds were VERY soft (my aunt LOVED it) and noisy when you moved and a bedroom door handle kept falling off as well as a bathroom shower handle. I wouldn't let that stop you from renting this place, I just always appreciate honest reviews when I'm renting. Not a far walk to town. A good place to rent overall.

Great location!

This historic house was built in 1927 and maintains its quaint charm. The kitchen is updated and open, and the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms provided ample room for our group of 6. We appreciated the fans in each bedroom, too. Super easy walk to town and Descanso Beach!

What a lovely place! It provided all the amenities we needed, and provided a comfortable stay for relaxing and a place to cook together. It was an easy walk to all the things we wanted to see and do, but it was also a quiet neighborhood. It provided a wonderful spot for making some family memories.
