Great small efficient room with nice clean bathrooms and separate shower room down the hall. Friendly staff. Cool shareable Central kitchen with shareable refrigerator that you label your own items with provided post-it notes

Very unique property. Old historic building in the middle of downtown Astoria. Cool lobby decorated with old vinyl records. This is a European style hotel with lots of character. The rooms do not have modern appliances like TV's, microwaves, refrigerators or bathrooms. Instead, there are shared bathrooms and a community kitchen where you can cook and store your food (there are sinks in the rooms). Tons of restaurants within walking distance including breweries and food trucks. There is no elevator (not handicap friendly) and there is no parking lot. If you are okay with that, you will love this place. Definitely worth the low price.

This was a really fun stay. The front desk loans out record players and old albums to play in your room. It's a cross between a hotel and a hostel. Nice kitchen you can use. Bathroom and showers down the hall. You get a sink in your room. They provide robes which is a nice touch. Location is great with restaurants and bars and shopping close. Parking is on the street. Bed was comfortable with nice bedding. Very friendly staff. Will stay again

Very Pleased

Very pleased with my overnight stay. The hotel has shared toilets and shower rooms. This place does it very well. The room was spotless. No “smells”. There is a ceiling fan and windows that open-a lovely breeze to sleep with. The bed was very comfortable. There is a sink in the room which I found made it more comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and will go back. I highly recommend.

Excellent value hotel in center of town, walking distance to most things. Street parking only. Selected room with private bath but shared bathroom was so clean that would not hesitate to stay in room with shared bathroom. Solo traveler. Felt safe at all times. Will return to this hotel in future.

Not a terrible experience, but not an amazing one. Hotel is very basic and feels at times like a hostel. It was not clear on booking and did not realize it till after, but most of the basic rooms do not have a toilet or shower (there are shared units, like a dorm room). There is a sink with a mirror in the room. No basic amenities that one would typically receive in an above average hotel. Theming is cute, but the lobby is up 2 flights of stairs with no elevator. The rooms also lack an AC, they do supply a fan for the room (make sure to take weather into account when staying). Walls are very thin and windows lack any sound proofing. The doors all have old school physical keys, so the sound of doors slamming and locks turning, will sound all day and night. The "quiet hours" were not respected by most guests and there is no hotel security. Several days the hotel front door is left open and the dront desk agent was either no where to be found or hidden in an office area. A person could easily wander in and use the facilities (the bathrooms and showers are not locked up). Overall an incredibly basic stay and for an extra $60 dollars a night I could have stayed somewhere with a few more creature conforts.

First off what an amazing old building, super cool and friendly staff, and amazingly comfortable bed!! Personally didn't care for no private barhroom and no TV in the room was different. The shared kitchen was pretty cool. The NOISE was the least favorite, I know they supply ear plugs, BUT i guess they didn't work that great for us, I now know all sorts of thing of peoples lives I didn't need to know...LOL!

It was great, the first night we were kept up and we thought it was our neighbors. On night two we discovered it was the window shade hitting the window over and over. You get a mini fan in the room so you want the windows open to cool off. Window around the lobby and front door stayed open for the same reasons. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Great place: neat clean and friendly. Shared bathroom and shower rooms in the “cabin” rooms (the cheaper ones). But super clean plus tons of historical character in the 1924 building. Shared kitchen with full stove and shared refrigerator. Amazingly thoughtful logistics design for ease and hygiene. Most guests (like me) we of an age that we had experience in shared housing from our youth so this was very comfortable. A really positive experience and good nights sleeps!

Thin old doors. Hardwood floors. Thin walls? Loud people coming in. It's after 11 now. Still happening. Forget the stated quiet rule.
