Go elsewhere - dirty, old hotel

This hotel should not be part of the Hilton chain. Just awful. The hotel address does not work with gps and I wound up in the middle of nowhere in the dark had to call the hotel three times before they answered and I was told that it happens all the time but that they do not change their website. He told me to enter Cracker Barrell in gps to get there. (My car bottomed out on their pothole filled parking lot). When I checked in, the clerk charged me $75 additional for my service dog and said if I gave him $40 cash he wouldn’t charge me. (Gave him my credit card and after telling the clerk the following morning was refunded the fee). The hotel is so run down and filthy with stained rugs, peeling wallpaper and a terrible old smoke/mildew smell everywhere. My tv would not access any of the channels. The desk clerk was totally unhelpful. I asked if I could just stream and was told that requires a different tv and I would have to move rooms. I gave up and just watched on my iPad. This was one of two hotels in the area and if I was not exhausted and it wasn’t so late I would have driven to the next town to find a more habitable hotel. This place was the worst and I cannot recommend it at all.

Clinton: who knew?

This is our go-to when we are headed to NYC. Staying in Clinton allows us to time our arrival in the Upper West Side to score free parking. We have stayed here a number of times, and really have come to love the town. There are good restaurants, shops, and interesting things to see. The Hampton Inn has what we need, is clean and convenient.

Terrible almost unediable breakfast, firm alarm in the night which the police say is a common occurence with this hotel and false alarms, our room was setup for handicap access with a tv setup with voice over with no way to change, the pool was closed due to a tiny amount of rain that day, people smoking weed all day and night in a non-smoking rooms beside us, loud yelling throughout the nights, I could go on and on. We didnt sleep well at all and wouldve been better off sleeping outside in the woods...

Area around the hotel was not as clean as I like, but I guess that’s what you get when smoking is allowed. Some lady was growing a garden on the property off the side of the parking lot. Does she live at the hotel?? Was very weird.

Room was nice and clean. Breakfast aas good. Area around property was being worked on, cell tower. Pool was dirty and area around pool could have been nicer. We had a decent stay. Town of Clinton is quaint and nice to walk around. Csn't get to town safely from hotel but it is close to hotel. Cracker Barrel is within walking distance.
