The temperature was below-10 and the heater in my room was not working and when i went to the desk nobody was there and nobody answered the phone. Know it was late but i couldn’t sleep because it was too cold.

Nice room, not hot water

The web description says that they offer breakfast, but that is false. I checked 2 days, and basically nothing there. Room was recently renovated and clean. Sink had hot water, but shower had very low water volume, and was about half cold and half hot, so taking a shower was uncomfortable and I did it as quickly as possible to avoid shivering.

Excellent customer service! The owner was very friendly and he was very welcoming and kind! The room was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, as well! Met expections for the price

The room was clean but laced basic amenities like cups in the room or an alarm clock. I was staying by myself and the room met my expectations for the price. The room was noisy as it was only a sidewalk distance away from a busy street.

I was pleasantly surprised on initial cleanliness of the room and updated decor. The location is very convenient to campus. If’s pretty close to self service though. The front desk is rarely staffed and they don’t clean the rooms during stays, just between stays. Hotel amenities are basic but I wasn’t there for much time. In room refrigerator does not have a freezer so couldn’t keep cooler packs frozen for tailgate. Parking lot was super tight. All rooms in Ames are overpriced on game weekends. This hotel isn’t worth $240/night any other time.

Deborah was awesome! Rooms were nice and clean, comfy bed/pillows. They seemed like they were recently remodeled and nice. AC unit old and very noisy and inefficient. Overpriced for the quality and location on very noisy and busy street. Property not well maintained and trash and weeds all around the property. Breakfast was a joke-looked like they ran to a local convenience store to grab something. Need to update and upgrade the breakfast.

If all you need is a place to sleep.....

The rooms were good, clean, and updated. But shower water pressure was a little more than a dribble. Air conditioner died on 1st day, room was upper 80s when we got back from a long day in the sun. The continental breakfast was the worst i have ever seen, and i travel A LOT. Bread was days old, the gravy was never changed out in two days sitting in a broken crockpot, eggs are frozen patties, etc. Good: very near blue 3 bus line that goes straight to the University, good price for the area. lots of restaurants and shopping near by. If you are in town to catch a game, or move kids in or out of ISU it is serviceable.
