Beautiful area. Wonderful staff. Room: area of carpeting worn and threadbare. Huge draft from patio door. Ceilings waterstained, stained. Beds and pillows very good and clean. Breakfast meal horrible. Sausage and egg sandwich with no sausage. Oatmeal like paste, brown sugar a hard rock.....stopped eating when hair was found. Apologized and took meal off bill. Lodge is a shadow of it's former self.

Perfect for a quick getaway to relax or engage in outdoor activities across the state park!

We stayed in a room with 2 double beds & 1 twin bunk beds. All the beds sheets were clean except the top bunk bed. The top bunk bed comforter had spaghetti stains and the flat sheet and fitted sheet had debris on it (more specifically described as loose dirt). The scenic view and amenities were great; we would stay again as long as all the bedding is actually clean; especially given the circumstances with this COVID19 pandemic!

Had a few issues with checking in and our cabin. Initially the front desk staff was unresponsive, but the manager, Matthew heard of our issues and really helped make our stay amazing. He went above and beyond what was needed to make a fans, but we are really grateful for his extra care and attention.

we were supposed to get a lakeview room but the first room they put us in was a dumpster view and the sink was filthy. we asked to be moved and it took over an hour. the second room was better but housekeeping is seriously lacking....

Great scenery. Food was good. Too much up and down staircases.

Its a wonderful facility. We will be back again!!!

Great place to relax staff was amazing .My Wife And I will come back again and again

Even in the winter, the indoor and hiking activities make this a fabulous family destination!

Nice older hotel in good condition. It sits in a huge state park. Amazing property. Had a great stay.

Over priced, older place (tried to make upgrades), the room I booked on Orbitz site was down graded to a smaller room for the same price. I came here for my kids, it is a kid friendly place but the value vs cost is not worth it.

We spent the following day and night at Salt Fork and found it once again to be a great place to share family(22of us) fun from 6months old to 91 years old. The pool was a hit as well as the fireplace areas and game room. The rooms were clean, but the beds and some amenities need a definite update.

The lodge is a treasure, hidden away on acres and acres of land. It is widely underused. We come back year after year. The food is getting worse and worse as the ownership try's to make more money. The evening meal was terrible; the food did not taste good and there were no rolls or bread with dinner. Breakfast was very good even though jam for toast didn't come with the entry but had to be requested. Service was good.

We enjoyed the pool, the crazy golf, the restaurant, the lounge, the fitness center and all the beauty everywhere .

Fishing, swimming, hiking and a trip to The Wilds made for a delightful get-together!

Enjoyed the surroundings. Rooms older, but comfortable. Hair dryers not so good, bring your own.

We had a nice, quiet, weekend getaway at the lodge. Our balcony overlooked the lake and woods. It was a beautiful, relaxing view. The room was very nice and clean. Lodge staff was very polite and helpful. Good, and reasonably priced food at at the lodge restaurant. Great for couples or family. I highly recommend it!

This is the best place in America. Would buy a room if they were for sale.

Good Afternoon Roberta, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent experience at the beautiful Salt Fork State Park. We were delighted to hear you found our team wonderful but must apologize for the issues encountered in your room and with your breakfast. Our lodge is coming up on its 50th anniversary next year and it is definitely beginning to show it's age. With that said, I'm happy to tell you we've completed several large-scale projects (e.g. new lodge roof, life-safety system, lodge-room doors, lock system, bedding packages and PTACs) and have many more on the horizon for 2022. Our goal is to keep Salt Fork Lodge and Conference Center the go-to destination it has become for the record-setting number of guests we were able to welcome this year for another 50 years. It seems we dropped the ball with your breakfast experience and I am sorry. It sounds like our team was able to take care of the situation, but I would like you to know that our F&B team employs a very high standard of safety and cleaning practices - I'm not sure how these issues happened, but we will be looking into it and making sure they do not happen again. I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back, after more improvements have been made, so you can see not just the shadow but the bright future the lodge has ahead. Have a wonderful day!

Good Afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to rate and share a little bit about your recent trip to Salt fork! We were happy to hear that you enjoyed your quick getaway and were able to find time to relax, as well as engage in some, of the many, activities available throughout the park. If there is anything we could have done to warrant a 5/5 rating, we would welcome that information. I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back and earn that 5/5! Have a great day!

Good Morning An, Thank you for taking the time to review your trip. I am sorry for the condition you found the top bunk sheets in. I want to assure you this was an egregious oversight that we will get to the bottom of and ensure it does not happen moving forward. I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to enjoy the view, amenities and a spotless room. Have a wonderful day!

Good Afternoon. Thank you for taking the time to share your review and bringing the issues you encountered to our attention. Allow me to apologize with the room placement, I can assure you this was inadvertent. Anyone who has visited the park recently will have seen some additional dumpsters, we are currently undergoing some major renovations and while they may be eyesores at the moment, the improvements brought about by their need to be here should far outweigh their aesthetics unpleasantness. I must apologize, again, for the condition of your sink and the other areas where housekeeping was lacking. We take these concerns very seriously, if you would be willing to reach out to us directly and share some more information we would gladly look into the issues and do whatever we can to prevent them in the future. Thanks again for your time and consideration. Have a great day!
