Camp Beaver Creek: A Rustic Adirondack Escape on 32 Acres, Views of Whiteface

***November 2025 Renovations and Upgrades taking place***
Welcome to Camp Beaver Creek, a classic Adirondack retreat designed for those who love the outdoors and the timeless charm of mountain living. This custom-built mid-sized camp is nestled on 32 acres of private land — offering guests a peaceful, nature-immersed getaway that’s intentionally rustic, cozy, and full of character.
This is not a 5-star luxury resort — it’s a true Adirondack camp experience: where the mornings are best spent by the wood stove with coffee, and evenings end around the crackling fire pit under a canopy of stars.
Embrace the Adirondack Lifestyle
The property’s vast acreage is your personal playground for every season:
Summer & Fall: Hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and wildlife watching.

Winter: Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and world-class downhill skiing just minutes away.

The large open outdoor space and scenic backdrop also make Camp Beaver Creek a beautiful location for family reunions and gatherings, with plenty of parking and room to roam.
Amenities That Celebrate the Outdoors
While rustic in spirit, Camp Beaver Creek offers all the essentials for a comfortable stay:
Year-round hot tub and wood-fired barrel sauna for après-adventure relaxation.

Wood stove and outdoor fire pit for cozy nights and storytelling by the fire.

Multiple TVs and Wi-Fi for modern convenience.

The Cabin Layout
Master Suite: Located on the second floor, featuring a two-person shower, a jetted soaking tub perfect after a day on the trails, and even a private outdoor shower for those who want to truly connect with nature.

Additional Bedrooms: Multiple sleeping spaces ideal for families or groups.

Outdoor Living: Expansive deck, grilling area, and open field space for games, picnics, and fresh mountain air.

Location Highlights
Secluded yet convenient, Camp Beaver Creek is less than:
6 miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski Area, Santa’s Workshop, and Veterans Memorial Highway.

15 miles from Lake Placid, with its charming shops, restaurants, and Olympic history.

Please note: This property embraces the natural beauty — and quirks — of Adirondack living. You may see wildlife, hear the sounds of the forest, and experience the occasional rustic imperfection that comes with cabin life. If you’re seeking pristine luxury and hotel-style amenities, this might not be the right fit. But for those looking to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the Adirondacks as they’re meant to be — Camp Beaver Creek is the perfect home base!
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find a Smart TV with a DVD player. The bathroom offers a jetted tub and hair dryers. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

Overall: a great outdoors escape. Camp Beaver Creek is a secluded escape on a beautiful property. The whole house is very well appointed - plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils in the kitchen; plenty of bath towels and cleaning supplies; books for all ages; toys and puzzles for kids. All the furniture was clean and comfortable (great couch and chaise lounge in the living room, reasonably comfortable mattresses though of course firmness is always personal preference). It's also great to find beautiful rental homes that allow pets, so I'm always appreciative of such hosts. If you're sensitive about the smell/flavor of your drinking water, I suggest bringing along some gallon jugs or bottled water, since the home has "sulfur mountain/well water". Also, if your group has any "hot sleepers", be mindful of visiting in the summer. There are 2 mini-split AC units, one in the dining room / living room area, and one in the upstairs master suite. But the other bedrooms can get pretty warm, especially if you shut the doors at night (e.g. children, pets). All told - my wife, pups and I had a great week in the Adirondacks, and this home provided all our needs. We'd love to visit again :-).

The house was beautiful. Location and property were great. My only complaint is the AC. We stayed in July and the wall unit in the living room just didn’t cool the bedrooms at all. Especially hot in the master bedroom whose gorgeous panoramic windows turned it into a greenhouse. One of the shower heads in the master shower didn’t work either. Overall it was a good place to stay.

Nice place and what we were looking for

Everything we needed. A little rough around the edges, and could use some little fixes, but at the end of the ski season, not shocking. Might stay here again next year.

Great stay for Ironman weekend

We had a great stay over the IRONMAN weekend. My mother was able to navigate the detours to get from lake placid back to the house during the race. We did not try to get back. The property was beautiful and peaceful. We saw lots of wildlife. Do your groceries before arriving as there is no store besides a small convenience store nearby. There was no WiFi after multiple attempts at resetting the router. Verizon cell service worked but Att was a dead zone. My mom had to leave early because she was not able to work from there. We enjoyed the sauna! I prepared meals in the kitchen and it was very functional. The bedroom upstairs was very comfortable and had 360 views. Very bright in the morning with all the windows but we were up before the sun on race day anyway. The cold water handle in the upstairs shower for the left shower head is broken, we were not able to use the outdoor shower. It appears to be disconnected. One of the cabinets below the kitchen sink is off its hinge. There is a kennel in the house in the laundry room. We did not end up bringing the dog but he would have loved the property! The smell in the laundry room is very unpleasant due to the kennel in there. Needs a good cleaning. Overall wonderful stay would recommend to anyone who loves nature or a peaceful environment. Large enough for multiple families to stay. Kids loves all of the bunks

Enjoyed Camp Beaver Creek!

This was our first time at Camp Beaver Creek. The setting was great and our family enjoyed the seclusion thoroughly. It was a great place to return to after days of hiking and exploring. Jennifer was very fast and thorough when answering our initial questions. We hope to be able to return again in the future!

MDW Vacation

I think this was my 6th time staying at Camp Beaver Creek. It’s by far my favorite of all the rental homes I’ve stayed at. It has new owners managing the property and it was noticeably cleaner and more well stocked than in previous years. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our dogs loved it, too. My only complaint is that the kitchen garbage can lid is difficult to open. Can’t wait for booking #7!

Solar eclipse at Camp Beaver Creek

We took and a friends and family trip to Camp Beaver. We booked the trip ~2 years prior when we learned that there would be totality in Lake Placid. We had four total children and four adults. The property was perfect for us; the grounds were wonderful, and the hosts communicated perfectly ahead of time notifying us of any potential issues. The kitchen had the necessities and then some and the space was very clean. We definitely want to book this house again, hopefully for a summer trip. The location is wonderful, only ~20 min from Lake Placid and a few minutes from Whiteface. you will not be disappointed!

Great location and good space but needs a bit of TLC

The house and layout are great. Great instructions with the house and super close to skiing/Whiteface mountain and few restaurants. Wish I could give 5 stars as we really liked the property (the radiant floors and hot tub were AMAZING and the view from the master suite of the mountain was breathtaking!), but it just missed the mark for a few reasons. When we checked in there was a sticky note left for us on the fridge advising that the sauna was broken. That would have been nice to know in advance since we were looking forward to using after skiing. We let the owners know of some broken lights in the game room bunks/missing fan remote the day we checked in. And then let them know the next day when we discovered one of the double shower handles fully didn’t work (so no cold water on one side) in the master suite. I sent messages via VRBO app advising of the broken items/issues (just for them to get fixed in future not demanding they do anything ASAP), but my messages were never acknowledged nor responded to.

Wonderful stay in private location

The house had plenty of room for me & my family. I love that it’s on 30 acres and towards the end of a dead end street. I was able to walk my dog off leash towards the dead end without worrying about traffic. I was able to find cross country skiing close by in a state park and Whiteface mountain was a short 10 minutes away. Great house in a great location!!

Great place, tons of privacy

We really enjoyed staying here. Used both the hot tub and the sauna. The owner was very responsive when the hot tub broke down and got it fixed within 24h. Tons of privacy on the property and very close to Whiteface mountain where we went skiing. Would recommend to anyone.

Fine for us but not accurate

We enjoyed our stay but definitely not as advertised. The house must have been vacant for a bit because the amount of flies and mouse droppings was a bit much. A massive bees nest was in the front doorway, they thankfully left us alone. There was no dog area, the surrounding property was a swamp (lots of mosquitoes), the outdoor shower looked unsafe and the water frontage was laughable. It is really close to white face and very peaceful, the hot tub and outdoor fire pit made up for any inconveniences we had. When we stripped our beds at the end the pillows had yellow stains on them and so did some of the mattress pads, that was gross. Overall we enjoyed the privacy but we would probably not rent here again.

Amazing Stay

The house was perfect for our family. We wanted to explore the Lake Placid/Whiteface area and the location was perfect. The house was so clean and roomy for our family of 6 plus our dog. We had everything we needed to feel at home yet we had so much privacy! The kids loved soaking in the hot tub every night after hiking. We had one issue with bees and Cameron took care of it immediately. Highly recommend Camp Beaver Creek and we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house and property

We were here for a 5 day stay with 4 adults, 5 kids and 2 dogs. The house was clean, spacious and well stocked. It rained quite a bit while we were there and we had room to spread out and play games. There was a double bed in the game room, which was a nice surprise - although it does mean the ping pong table can’t be fully used. The only inaccuracy in the listing was regarding the dog run - it seems there used to be one but it’s since been removed. Not a problem for us as we hadn’t planned on using it. I would definitely recommend bug spray, as it is very buggy (as we expected in a house in the woods). I would definitely recommend this house.
