Stellar home & host

Perfect meetup for a family vacation. Home is well stocked with essentials and extras. Plenty to do both at the home and nearby. Host Steve was very friendly and accommodating.

Nice place to stay

This was a spacious place for our group of 6. Backyard is very nice, gets windy in the evening so the bbq fire blows out or cools down quickly. For this reason the firepit is hot and miss aseell. Bedrooms need blackout curtains. Lots of little steps all over the house which can be tripping hazards. Kitchen needs ftin foil. Hot tub needs a clean there were a bunch of bugs and leaves in it. There might be a bug nest in the vents somewhere, we saw what looks like hornets come out of the vents in the living room.

Williams

Really enjoyed our stay in Williams. House was great for our family - lots of room, spacious backyard, clean, house stocked with everything you need. Willams is a super cute town and close to national and state parks. Steve was a great host, very communicative with any questions we had. Would recommend and stay again.

Great house in Williams!

We had such a great time at the Base Camp! They had everything we needed. It was close enough to downtown we walked to coffee in the morning and back again for lunch! Gorgeous site, plenty of towels and ammenities. We would absolutely stay again.

Grand Canyon home base

We chose this property in Williams to use as a home base for our trips to Grand Canyon. The home was clean and well-equipped. There were plenty of beds for our group of 9. We all enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fire after a long day of hiking. We also enjoyed walking around downtown Williams.

Spacious, Comfortable and Well Equipped

We stayed here with adult children and their SOs as base camp for a Grand Canyon vacation. The home is spacious and fit the seven of us very comfortably. An unexpected bonus for those who enjoy cooking was the excellently equipped kitchen featuring plenty of dishes, top cookware and superior knives. The pool table became the natural focus point of our evenings there, but not the only one. The hot tub was in perfect working order, as were the outdoor Gad fire pit and giant grill. Williams is an interesting enough town for 2-3 days, and the GC National Park a reasonable 45 minute ride. Steve our host was communicative and unobtrusive at once! Great place. Highly recommend!

Great place!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The accommodations were great. Super clean place, walking distance to the town and great hospitality and response from host. We will definitely stay here again if visiting the area. (We stayed here to visit the Grand Canyon which is an easy drive from the location). Highly recommend this home.

Our stay in williams

Close to downtown, you can walk there. The owner responded to every concern . Would stay there again. Plenty of room for you and your family. Would suggest curtains or blinds for the front window. Would make me feel more secure.

Great Polar Express base!

The property met our needs for our extended family. The kitchen was adequately appointed, but was lacking hot pads! Since we had two children, we cooked “at home” most of the time. The powder room toilet backed up Thursday night, and I reported it Friday morning The toilet was not fixed by the time we left on Monday morning, despite phone calls and multiple text messages to the property manager, Sara. Outside trash cans were not clearly marked.

It was just Okay

When we first walked into the entrance of the house we were greeted by an overwhelming skunk smell. It made me wonder if there was a skunk living under the house or something. We did get used to the smell but anytime we came back into the house we had to get used to it again. The house was very piecemeal - looked like there had been lots of add-one over time. The pool table was a big hit. The darts all had broken flights and their were lots of holes in the wall from bad dart shots. We also found a black widow in the room off of the pool room so be aware. We were told that there were a number of security cameras outside for our safety. I didn’t look up the crime rate in Williams ahead of time but that coupled with the fact that some of the windows or doors were made not to open made me feel less safe. The outdoor space was our favorite part. We ate dinner out there one night and got supplies for s’mores by the fireplace. The gas fireplace put off the biggest flame I’ve ever seen from a gas fireplace even on the lowest setting. It was an okay place to stay for our trip to the Grand Canyon but I definitely had higher hopes for it.

It was perfect!

The house was perfect! The beds were comfy, Mitch was great to cook in, backyard was so nice to sit and enjoy a cocktail. Looking forward to renting this beautiful home again next time we’re in Williams.

Cool Williams

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Basecamp. Very roomy, a bedroom for everyone and one bathroom for the boys and one for girls. Loved the large rooms, the pool table, games, big TV, and lovely large patio. We did not partake of the hot tub but it was big and clean. I think the host made a special request for cool weather and it was great. Walking distance to Route 66 and the fun town of Williams.
