I will stay here again Good location Excellent staff Nice breakfast Spacious room and bathroom

Great Location, beautiful hotel Staff very helpful & accommodating

From the moment I arrived, I was delighted with the Melrose. The hotel staff was pleasant and accommodating in every way. My room was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The location is perfect for strolling through Georgetown and for visiting the many sights DC has to offer. I will definitely stay at the Melrose again should I be in the Washington area.

The hotel was great and exactly what I was looking for. They allowed me to check in about 40 minutes early and held my bags at the end of my stay so that I could shuttle to and fro on my last day unencumbered by my luggage. When I arrived back, everything was in good order.

Everyone in the hotel was nice and friendly. The room was really clean and the food in the restaurant was great.

We enjoyed our short stay. The entrance is a little confusing for cab drivers. The reception folks are welcoming and staff does their best to keep everyone happy. We loved our one night stay. There is a bunch of restaurants around the area where you can choose your dinner. The bar seemed quite active. There is also a Whole Foods resturant next to the place.

Great location and bed after all the walking in this central DC location. Loved the art work

amenities were great and staff was delightful - Great experience

The room and lobby area were immaculate and welcoming

The gentleman Kay and bell hop that check me in were great. The room was nice but somewhat had a cigarette scent even though it was a non smoking room. I later realized it maybe the cleaning products that they used. The room was noticeable warm and I tried to adjust the room temperature but had to solicit the assistance of the staff which was very quick. I was getting ready for an event later that evening and as I went to shower, there was no shower curtain. Again I had to wait from staff downstairs to find one and place it in the bathroom, that took another 30 minutes. The second night of my stay I asked for a late check out, they could not locate me in the system and pondered how I was even able to be in the room. I was asked to come down and provide my card again to check in seeing that they claim they didn't swipe my card for the reservation. This after there was a noticeable hold on my credit card. I told them I would be down shortly, but they proceeded to call me after 10 minutes for the credit card which I found very annoying as I wasn't the one who had made the mistake and I had already been in bed so I needed some time to change to go downstairs. The gentleman on the phone was quite forward and sarcastic and while I was willing to overlook there poor preparedness in the room ( the missing shower curtain and the warm room) they seemed to be more concerned about harassing me to correct their mistake even though my reservation was prepaid.

After my first bad hotel experience after a day of sightseeing with my family, Orbitz was able to secure my family a room at the Melrose. The Melrose was top notch. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in the DC area. Very professional staff, addressed you by name and even had valet parking. Was so happy that they were able to accommodate my family on such short notice.

The staff was great. Mia, Katherine. The manager. Excellent service. Smiles and laughter, and making sure all of our needs were met!!

Great location! Minor things could be better within the rooms, other than that the staff was great. Allowed us for an early check in whenever we wanted and a late checkout.

Staff was incredibly helpful when I needed to change room from one bed to two beds. Everything about this hotel is very chic and hip. Great location! They even change out the fresh container of water in the lobby every day to a new flavor ( I.e. cucumber mint, strawberry orange raspberry, etc.) - very nice touch!

wonderful staff & very hip accommodations. great value. i can recommend this hotel without hesitation!

The hotel entrance is very small and nice. The website photos make this hotel main features appear large and spacious and that is not the case. The rooms are very old in appearance. In my bathroom the bathtub fixtures were loose from the wall, the bedding had small holes, ceiling low and air conditioning noise. NICE HOTEL BUT OVER PRICED. The resturant food was EXCELLENT. The staff on different shifts were all AWESOME.

Great restaurant appear hidden start in restaurant great hospitality

Stayed here over a weekend while visiting our daughter in DC. The hotel is newly renovated and very nice. The staff gets high marks. They were very friendly and helpful upon both check-in and check-out. I left some clothes in the closet, and when I called the next day, the housekeeping was able to quickly identify and locate the items and was very courteous and friendly in helping arrange recovery. Location is very good, just on the east end of Georgetown--easy walking to Georgetown shopping. The restaurant was a surprising plus. Usually hotel restaurants are adequate at best. This one (Jardenea) was truly excellent, even rating it compared to other stand-alone restaurants in the area. We had a full breakfast, which was first rate. One night we ate dinner there too because we didn't want to go out, and the food and service were excellent. Innovative menu, high quality fresh ingredients very well prepared and presented. The atmosphere is a little dry, but the quality of food and service were top drawer. Wait staff well trained and very friendly. Overall a very good hotel experience, and a good value for what we paid.

Pleasant staff, clean rooms coffee service in morning

Overall OK. For the price I would expect more. The phone in the room didn't work, so we had to go down to the front desk for anything we needed. For what they charge, they should throw in a breakfast, even a small one.
