Nice Hotel and short walk to the subway, close to Georgetown and some restaurant

Happy with this hotel and the rate is reasonable.

A delightful, short getaway. Refreshing. At night the lobby stayed filled with party guests as the bar is at the front entrance of the lobby. Didn't care for that too much. Plus the guests had their children in the lobby as they partied. Not a fan of that, a parenting matter. However, we didn't hear them on the 7th floor. It was refreshing being there. The front desk staff was phenomenal, especially Katherine. I stayed in the Executive suite, small. Smaller than the pictures but very cozy and quaint. I was comfortable with the cleanliness of our suite even the sofa; more than I can say about other properties, a clean sofa and carpet may be a bit much to ask for But not here. I am glad the suite had light carpet instead of dark to hide when it hasn't been cleaned in a while But not here. If you are an animal lover, I am not, the hotel will allow animals. Didn't particular care for that but the animals were small & under control. The breakfast was awesome. Great location, walking distance from Georgetown & a number of eateries. A small local convenient store is adjacent to the hotel. I loved my 1st experience with The Melrose. I did have a billing matter the 1st front desk person, we had a small language barrier but aside from that she was trying to convince me of an erroneous charge. She didn't know what she was talking about & she just gave me a reply instead of seeking to understand & resolve. Katherine, front desk, overheard, took the call & resolved the matter.

Convenient location near metro and Georgetown. Really nice staff. Loved the decor as it was upscale and modern yet very comfortable. Felt like a very nice boutique hotel yet very reasonable price for what you experienced.

The staff was very nice the room was clean and a very nice tv

Room is a good size. Excellent happy hour! Room was comfortable. Would stay again

They were really accomadating with our young son and our family needs. Their gym was also FANTASTIC!!!!! My husband got a great workout in, and most hotel gyms aren't well equipped. We will definitely go back!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel location is great. Within walking distance to Georgetown.

The staff was very welcoming especially Katherine . She went out of her way to make us feel like we were at home. Our room was beautiful ..the decor and I have to say the most comfortable bed ever. The linens in your hotel are top rated.

I have bed bug bites all over my legs! I stay at supposedly nice hotels like this to avoid this very thing! Horrified!

i reserved the room as a 40th anniversary gift for my sister and brother-in-law. She told me that everything was wonderful during their vusit; the staff, especially a certain woman at check-in; and that overall, their staff was heavenly. Thank you!

Great location and pretty room. Beds are so comfortable!

lobby is sexy rooms are comfortable and convenient

The staff was okay. Ordered room service once never had the opportunity again since they didn't give us the card to order it again. No ice machine except to ask the front desk. Most friendly staff was the door person.

I will stay here again Good location Excellent staff Nice breakfast Spacious room and bathroom

Great Location, beautiful hotel Staff very helpful & accommodating

From the moment I arrived, I was delighted with the Melrose. The hotel staff was pleasant and accommodating in every way. My room was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The location is perfect for strolling through Georgetown and for visiting the many sights DC has to offer. I will definitely stay at the Melrose again should I be in the Washington area.

The hotel was great and exactly what I was looking for. They allowed me to check in about 40 minutes early and held my bags at the end of my stay so that I could shuttle to and fro on my last day unencumbered by my luggage. When I arrived back, everything was in good order.

Everyone in the hotel was nice and friendly. The room was really clean and the food in the restaurant was great.

We enjoyed our short stay. The entrance is a little confusing for cab drivers. The reception folks are welcoming and staff does their best to keep everyone happy. We loved our one night stay. There is a bunch of restaurants around the area where you can choose your dinner. The bar seemed quite active. There is also a Whole Foods resturant next to the place.
