Awesome hotel. Very clean. Stay here every time I visit DC
The location is what’s great about this hotel. I stay here every time I come to DC. Staff is friendly and it is very clean
We were barely in the room, we had a 2nd floor unit and were concerned about the noise as we were right off the elevator. Ironically we didn't hear any noise from the ice machine nor elevator traffic. The staff were nice, and pleasant, always waiting to help. The bistro was convenient but not something I'd eat at again. It was an easy check in but the proximity to the mall was very enticing to go back again. It was definitely a place I'd recommend.
Location was good. We were there for 2 nights. Hotel not as standard for a Marriott. Rooms are small. Beds were uncomfortable. We were 3 adults and they gave us a king bed room which was uncomfortable instead of 2 double beds. Towels had stains on them. Asked for new ones and they never brought it up. Hardly any shampoos or soaps in the room. Had to call each time we wanted to shower. They charge you extra fees at Check in so WATCH YOUR BILL! Don’t think i will stay here again. Disappointed!!!
We are very pleased with our stay at Cortyard Marriot. The room was very spacious, nice and clean. Before booking Hotel we were looking for indoor pool and this Hotel was one of the few that had it, at least around this area. The pool is small, but big enough to swim and relax, also very clean and open until 11pm. In general Hotel is close to White House, it takes a long walk to Smithsonian Museums and Capitol though. There aren't so many restaurants around, but you can find some 10 minutes walking distance like Founding Farmers (very good btw). I recommend this hotel.
The hotel is within walking distance of the mall & museums. The staff was very helpful. The parking valets in particular gave us very good advice. The hotel represents a good value and is kid friendly.
The nice part about a Marriott is you pretty much know what you’re getting every time. This trip was no exception to that, EXCEPT... MANDATORY VALET. Hate that. I hate it more when the mandatory valet is $42 PER NIGHT, which means you’re going to pay $50 per night after gratuity. I get DC parking is a premium, but seriously... This hidden cost should be better advertised.
Great hotel, great staff, accommodations are fantastic. We stayed for ACC17. Hotel location was perfect.
The only real lack in our experience was the fact that there was no one at the front desk to check us in, or to check us out. In both instances, we waited ten minutes or so in confusion while standing at the front of the hotel. Once we were checked in, though, all was well! The rooms are small--as they will be at a city hotel. And one of our couch cushions was comically mismatched, which was odd... But we were there for only one night and not to hang out on the couch, so it wasn't a problem (but didn't look nice...) All in all, it was just fine, and a good deal, for the price. Only about a five minute Uber ride to Penn Square, and an easy walk to a great Brunch spot.
Great location. Nice hotel. I would stay there again.
all of staff was incredibly friendly. facility was average. value more a reflection of DC prices in general
We were very pleased with the staffs attention to detail, courtesy and commitment to providing exemplary service
I was in DC for a business conference and did not use the fairly large workout room or the small pool. But the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel room was very clean and housekeeping was thorough. I ate in the hotel bistro in the lobby the hot wings were very good. It was nice to walk past the White House each morning. I would recommend this hotel!!
Arrived hours before check-in. Surprisingly pleased to settle in our room immediately. The room was spotless. A big plus in my book. Checked out the pool and gym. Both very clean. (No wi-fi in basement). Needed a kid friendly restaurant (not fast food). The desk clerk pulled out a list of places with easy to follow navigation directions. The 2 restaurants we went to were great. At night walking or metroing thru town made us fully appreciate where we were staying. Much less traffic and far less noise. Would recommend this hotel to anyone taking their family for a DC expierence
