I had been staying here every Tuesday night for the past 6 weeks. I booked my reservation online on Monday (the day before I needed to stay). When I showed up to check-in on Tuesday, the guy told me that I had a reservation for the preceding night (Monday). I had mistakenly made my reservation for Monday night instead of Tuesday. The guy, said no problem, I'll fix it. I paid cash for my room. A few days later, I realized that I had been charged for the Monday night room...showed up on my credit card. I called the hotel and was told sorry, the manager must approve any refund. He will call you. Days go by. I called Choice Hotels (parent company) and was told that the manager of the place must authorize any refund. The guy had made a new reservation for me on Tuesday and didn't cancel the Monday night reservation (I was treated as a "no show.") Choice said the manager will call you. A week later (today), I called EconoLodge, sorry the manager must authorize, he will call you. Is there a pattern here? I called Choice Hotels Customer Service and was put on hold so they could call EconoLodge to speak with the manager. After 5 minutes, I was told that they (Martin Econo) was not refunding my money, it was my fault that I booked the wrong night and that I should have been more careful before I confirmed my reservation. Seriously? Are you kidding me? I would think that a place that rarely has more than 6-10 cars in the lot would treat customers a bit kinder. Lesson learned! They can keep the $75 dollars and I'll take my business across the street to Days Inn for the next 8 weeks.

From the moment you walk in your room, you know you made a wrong decision about staying here. The room smells very bad. The a/c unit blows air the reaks of mold, making you not want to use it, but you have no alternative since the room has no exhaust or ceiling fan for air circulation. The lighting is not efficient, but the room is so dingy dirty lights make it worse. The shower head is too low, if your over 5ft4 you'll have difficulty. But since there's limited hot water and a tub that doesn't drain the shower head height is the least of your problems. The bathroom floors are gross, corners and behind toilet was caked with dirt and grime. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. The maid/cleaning service was nonexistent. Exchanging our wet towels for clean ones was only accomplished by bringing them to the front desk. We brought our garbage out daily since getting a room cleaning was impossible. We were told by the front desk the maids leave at 11am and cleaning needed to occur during the time we would be sleeping. This hotel was simply terrible. The worst I've ever experienced.

Comfortable bed and a good nights sleep, could not ask for much more. Did not see any bugs at all. The hotel is nested within the trees. Breakfast exceeded my expectations, whereas sausage was served. Good coffee too. Very reasonable priced and pleasant experience.

ended up not staying. got eerie feeling when asking questions about staying at the hotel. prices seamed high for what it was and there was not alot of cars in the lot. It was late at night and they seamed like they didn't want bothered. parking lot not well lit around building. didn't seam to care if they got the business or not. so they didn't

Big roach on the floor, killed another big one. Baby dashed about in the morning. Exhaust fan not working. Bathroom tile torn up about a square foot. Carpet raveled. Poor pillows. good side...was completely accessible Check-in friendly. Left a note about roaches hoping management would get in touch. One week later no offer of refund. Wish when I made reservation I would have been told about a Quality Inn there.

Flying roach landed on my arm within seconds of me walking in room. No shower curtain and multiple light bulbs were out. Room was disgusting. The days inn is bad but this hotel is much worse! Roaches roaches and more roaches. On a good note the front desk staff was very friendly and gave me my money back.

Room was adequate and clean. Had been there an hour and was made to switch rooms because of front desk screwup. Staff was courteous, friendly and hospitable. WiFi was a little sketchy at times. Would be nice to have a few more options at breakfast. Stayed for 4 days and the same old drab thing every day. The pricing for my stay seemed a little high for the area and for the quality and age of this property. Definitely didn't get what I paid for. Clarification: I clicked average for location. As there are no attractions in the area and little to zero tourist business. This question doesn't really apply for this property. For the purposes of my stay, the property was VERY conveniently located

The rooms were very clean seemed pretty new. The staff was indeed splendid and really went out their way to ensure that I was comfortable. This was my first trip and definitely will not be my last since I will have to come back once a month for business.

We chose the Econolodge because they had a pool and offered a decent military discount. We checked in quickly with no problems. We found our room and it was clean. It did have an odd smell, almost musty...it may have been the a/c. It wasn't bad enough to worry about. We went to the pool which was outside. The water was blue but cloudy. It had a bunch of bugs in it, so I found the skimmer and skimmed it. I can't blame the bugs on them, since in a few minutes there were bugs back in it. But the water was cloudy and the filter didn't really feel like it was working (maybe they run it at certain times, not sure). But my kids enjoyed it and it wasn't slimy or anything. The pool was in the back of the hotel, in the parking lot and only had a small chain link fence around it (zero privacy) On the way out of the pool area, I opened the gate and it has a strong spring. I didn't move quick enough and the gate cut the heel of my foot. I was able to get a couple of band aids from the front desk. The bed was fine, a bit firm but not uncomfortable. They gave us only 2 pillows on the bed and they were soft (I am used to most hotels/motels filling the bed up with pillows). We didn't use the TV so I can't say how that was but they did have a flat screen. There wasn't very good lightening in the room and only had 2 lamps and the light that is over the mirror. I had to turn them all on, and it was still rather dim in the room. The breakfast in the morning was better than I expected. They had 3 hot options (biscuits, sausage gravy and sausage). They also had the usual waffle maker and a couple of muffin choices. They was coffee, milk and oranage juice. There was also some cereal. I have had more choices at other hotels, but I have also had a lot worse! All in all for what I paid, I can't complain. I wouldn't want to stay there too many nights though. Honestly, if I would have paid the full price and didn't have the military discount I would have been irritated...but for what I paid it was fair.

I stayed at the Econo Lodge over four years ago and since then they have gone through some noticeable changes. Though the rooms were clean before, they are exceptionally clean now and seem to be renovated since my last visit. The parking lot was newly paved and the lobby was clean and tidy. Check in and check out were very simple processes and the staff were friendly and extremely attentive. The breakfast was hot and ready at 6:30, which was nice for me. I enjoyed my stay and definitely received more than enough bang for my buck!
