If you have females in your group that need to shave anything from the waist down, good luck. The shower is about 2.5 sq ft. No tub. The bathroom door is slatted, so good luck with privacy with number 2. Take Febreeze and matches I guess. The water pressure is great, but it will scald you, so beware!
I think the property could be improved with a bistro table on the porch. A bathroom door, and honestly a bathroom remodel. It’s pretty cramped and very old. Definitely a more comfortable couch. When it’s storming outside, all there is to do is sit on that boxy, ripped up velvet couch. It got and kinda gross.
They should also add to the listing that dogs are prohibited on all of Tybee’s beaches. The entire reason we rented the place was to take our 16 year old dog for her first beach trip. So that was really disappointing.
It was nice that they provided plenty of TP, paper towels, toiletries and cleaning products.
Don’t stay during Orange Crush/Peach Fest week/or weekends. We didn’t know what happened during Orange Crush the previous weekend, and had no clue about the Peach Fest (neither of theses are what you think). The entire town was crawling with police and there were orange cones everywhere. We actually had to call the police the first of the two nights we were there because the renters above us were having a violent brawl and it sounded like they were going to come through the floor. There were children there and I felt terrible for them. Plus there is just no insulation from the noise, so even before the fight, you could hear people partying and stomping around all night. I’m an amazing sleeper, so I wouldn’t say something g unless it was really bad. I was legitimately scared and thought there could potentially be gun violence especially when after reading about what happened the previous week. It also started again the second night, but I took enough Benadryl to get myself through the night until we could pack up and leave. We watched one of the renters carrying pieces of the glass table they broke during the chaos. I would never stay in Tybee again during that festival period. It felt more like Atlantic City than it did a beach town. I really hope that Tybee gets these unpermitted events under control, or they are going to quickly lose their reputation as a family friendly beach town. A real shame.
The beach is still beautiful and the town and establishments are great. Very warm and hospitable.
