Nice Home, Great Atmosphere

Super Cozy spot and great location. Bonfire was fantastic, Squirrels nest had fun games for the adults and kids. Beds were comfortable and house was perfect for our getaway.

Great for entire family

The accommodations were spectacular! Clean, comfortable and well furnished, the house provided a truly "home away from home" environment for relaxing. The most significant advantage was the Squirrel Nest. This game room area provided every member of our family both young and old, an unbelievable place to gather. Its availability of ping pong, video games, table games, and television in such a comfortable setting quickly became extremely popular with every member of the family. The outdoor fire pit was the perfect place to relax at nigtht under the stars while feasting on s'mores.

Bad experience

Tv remote didn’t work, property Mgr didn’t care to attempt to fix. We left something behind, we knew exactly where we left it, big surprise, they could bother to return it. Outdoor cameras watching you sit on the back patio - Just not a nice place at all - Would not recommend staying here.

Good location, but on a busy hwy

I rented this cute house for my 86 year old mother, husband, 13 year old son and I. My son broke his arm 2 days prior. My son and husband could not come due to the nature of break that may need surgery. There is no way my whole group of 4 could've stayed comfortably, even though there are 6 places to sleep. The house is very tight. There are no closets. No dishwasher and only 1 bathroom. We liked the location, but M22 is a very well traveled, noisy road that does not quiet down much at night. For 2 females staying alone, it would have felt safer having an indoor lock on back door, as screen door does not shut properly. We appreciated the charm of the house. We did not go into the Squirrels Nest.

Perfect family getaway

The house and the squirrels nest are both as advertised on the site; very nice!! Both were well stocked with supplies and the bonfire pit with wood provided was an awesome way to spend the night relaxing under the stars. The squirrels nest was where we spent most of our time and it came in handy on one of our days where the weather wasn't ideal. The house is on a main road so there were cars driving by that interrupted the peaceful time around the bonfire but it caused no issues or disturbances in the house at night when trying to sleep. The address posted on VRBO's site was not accurate for us; read the details of the check-in email you receive for the correct address to input into your GPS.

The Perfect Get Away Weekend!

This place was perfect! This was the ideal place for my Fiancé’s 30th bday weekend. The squirrel’s nest and fire pit made for some great times playing ping pong and enjoying one another’s company right by the bay (what a view)! One thing I have to say the host does an amazing job of fully stocking the house. Literally everything you might need is at the house! Very nice to have. I was able to cook almost all of our meals in the kitchen. I highly recommend this cute cottage on the bay, you won’t be disappointed!

40 and fun in the squirrels nest

What a way to celebrate turning 40 but with a small group of close friends, the squirrels nest, great weather, a beautiful backdrop and traverse city wineries. This place has everything you need and the perfect location. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great house...great location!

This house may seem small but it has ALOT to offer. Home was very cozy and well stocked with everything you’d need for a pleasant stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here. We loved the firepit and “Squirrel’s Nest”. There many competitive games of ping pong played over the weekend. This home is close to biking trails, downtown TC, breweries, wineries on both Mission Peninsula and Sutton’s Bay. We would definitely rent this property again in the future.

Great Place!

Perfect location, fun game room! Upstairs is small but was ok for our family of 4 (with two kids under 10) Washing machine didn’t work, which was disappointing. Enjoyed our stay!

Perfect getaway

This was the perfect location for a family getaway in the middle of this crazy summer we are all living! Very clean and private, we enjoyed the lake views and the amazing fire pit every night. The road noice is a little louder than expected but we come from the city so it didn’t bother us. The game room was great for rainy days to still be able to feel like we were outside with the big barn doors open. Highly recommend this place for a getaway, close to everything but still a hidden gem!

A great escape

Summer 2020 has been an unusual time to say the least, and our last minute escape to this little cottage in TC was exactly what our family of 5 needed! Thank you for keeping everything so clean and stocked. We absolutely loved and fully utilized the house, fire pit, porch, and Squirrel’s Nest equally throughout our 3-night stay. Super convenient home base location and close to everything that TC has to offer. We look forward to coming back!

Fantastic Stay!

We had a fantastic weekend at the Squirrel's nest! Everything was clean and organized and the view was beautiful. You literally only need to bring clothes and food - everything else was provided! Even some cold beer in the fridge. ;-) We had a relaxing stay and hope to come back. Highly recommend.
