I was greeted warmly during check-in, so that’s always a plus! Thorough instructions on daily operations. Capsules were clean and cozy. Showers and toilet were cool. I just wish there was another toilet in case the other is ever occupied. The change in clothes provided was a nice touch. Back to the capsule space - storage underneath was super convenient. They provided a key which is useful! The light switches were neat. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the temperature. It was too warm. I only spent a night here. Overall, this place is good for solo travelers or for those looking for a short stay.
Brilliant location and shower room facilities. Fresh PJs and toothbrush and towels daily.
Only complaint is the noise every night of people who come in and start zipping and unzipping and organising their suitcases so late.
Lights should be turned off after 10pm to prevent this noise and others selfishly organising all of their items when people are trying to sleep.
I did report this near midnight one night but their only solution was to move me when i was situated beside my mum and my luggage and I would only have the same problem on another floor.
People tend to stay one night and pack all of their shopping at midnight!!!
The room and washrooms were very clean and the pods were very spacious and had a large compartment to put all your luggage. Couldn’t recommend it more! Great location, right on top of the subway station and within walking distance of the river and Asakusa!
The property was clean, the amenities were great, and it was located next to the subway/train station for easy access. I had a very comfortable stay. I loved the capsule room experience in Japan. Highly recommend.
Pros: Very convenient location near train stations and lots of food shopping.
Cons: There is ZERO air flow in the capsules and they are HOT. (There is a button for fan, but when you click it nothing happens.), There is only ONE toilet per floor (1 for about 15-20 people), & The ONLY place they want you to make calls is an insanely quiet lobby on F2 which is extremely awkward.
Overall this is a good price for a convenient location, but it's uncomfortable to sleep, sharing a single toilet with multiple people is a hassle, and there's no good common areas for making calls back home. I would not stay here again.
Fantastic area, great staff, more affordable than other places and a new experience. Lots of stores nearby. This was my first time in Tokyo and I believe that if I come back that there is no other area of the city that I would rather be then Kuramae Asakusa
A great place to stay, mininal ammenties but what they do provide is done very well at the price. With only 6-8 capsules in each row as opposed to 20+ means it is quieter, cleaner and better to use than other capsule hotels. My only major downside is that the capsule does not have a fan inside, making it really hot and stuffy after spending some time inside with the blinds down.
I really enjoyed my week stay here! It's so close to the Asakusa line via Kuramae station with tons of convenience from the 7/11 across the street and only a 15 minute walk from some really cool things in the area. The staff service was great since they give you fresh pajamas , towels and tooth brush+paste every night. The facilities were really nice and clean including the common room. One thing I would add is that the capsules aren't a good place to charge your phone. The current from the capsule outlet (only usb A and C.) was pretty weak so charging in the common area is what I did.
