This hotel was clean, neat, and close to the train station. Staff were helpful, rooms were clean and breakfast was ok. Close to a variety of restaurants and within a short walk from 2 train stations. It was exactly what we needed for our 5 day stay
This hotel has a 4-star rating on TripAdvisor because it has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Tokyo and you couldn’t ask for a better location. The rooms are compact but modern and extremely clean and quiet and the hotel has all the amenities you need for an enjoyable stay. After checking in to the hotel, we were very pleased to see the room was very nice and exceptionally clean and there were pyjamas in sealed plastic bags on the bed. They were more like night shirts but I thought they were very comfortable and compatible with the temperature of the room. If you use these pyjamas the cleaners will give you a fresh pair every day. Although there was no wardrobe there was a rack for you to hang up your clothes which was absolutely fine for us. The Mikimoto toiletries in the good-sized bathroom were lovely and I was very happy with the Mikimoto shampoo I used to wash my hair every second day. They provide a kettle as well as space to make a cup of tea and there was a fridge in the hallway with plenty of room to store drinks and snacks, or even a carton of milk or juice. There was a large window in the room which provided a lot of natural light as well as a phone to make external or internal calls and an alarm. You can rent a PC to use in your room for a full day or you can use the PC in the reception free of charge. There's a laundry service that we used and everything came back very clean and nicely folded but this service was quite expensive so I’d recommend the washing machines and dryers that guests can use on site. I did notice there was no iron in the room when we arrived and I also thought the pillows were too hard but I called reception and they sent up an iron and an ironing board straight away that we could keep for the remainder of our stay. They also gave us memory foam pillows that were so nice to sleep on I’ve decided I’d like a memory foam pillow for Christmas! The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast every morning and although you could help yourself to eggs, sausages or meatballs, soup, salad and bread, we only had a few small croissants and/or pastries every morning because we wanted to try different restaurants for lunch and dinner when we were in Tokyo, but these bread items were always very fresh and delicious. The hotel only has 13 floors so it’s perfect if you’re afraid of being in a tall building during an earthquake (although there were no earthquakes during our entire stay in Japan). Another big bonus for this hotel is its location. It’s a 5-minute walk from Jimbōchō station, an area I like because it has lots of second hand bookstores. There are also lots of restaurants and three convenience stores surrounding the hotel and three train lines that stop at Jimbōchō Station - the Subway Hanzomon Line, the Subway Mita Line and the Subway Shinjuku Line, making this hotel convenient for just about anywhere you want to go to in central Tokyo. By the way, don’t forget to avoid the expensive JR Lines as much as possible and buy a 3-day subway pass for just ¥1,500 yen when you’re in Tokyo to save you lots of money on train travel.
For under $100 US we found a excellent, 13 story, modern, clean, hotel, shower a d bath combo, with attractive modern decor. ( breakfast included.) The room we chose was small with a double bed and some might not want that configuration, which permitted access to one side of bed. Larger rooms are available and very inexpensive. This hotel would charge $250+ in NYC, or Europe for our room.
We loved this hotel. Nice comfy room, lots of free toiletries and a powerful shower. The view of our room was a nice city view. The location is great, with train stations near by but if you fancy you can also walk to many sites. Breakfast was good, enough selection for the average person to accept - we just had the eggs, toast and tea each day. There are A LOT of restaurants and convenient stores 5mins walk, on a rainy night we got a take away and enjoyed an evening in. Our flight out was late, the hotel held onto our bags so we could enjoy the last day without dragging around our cases.
New, clean and cozy hotel in a really convenient location. The room was rather big for tokyo standards (3 big suitcases open at the same time and we still had room to move!) and bathroom was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was fine and we particularly appreciated the paper equipment available for guests wishing to prepare take-away breakfast. Jimbocho and kudanshita metro stations are really close to the hotel, with direct connections to Shinjuku, Shibuya and other tourist areas in tokyo. Several nice restaurants and supermarkets nearby (almost all with international ATM). Definitely recommended!
This is a great place to stay in Tokyo. From the start, the staff was all smiles, cheerful, and helpful. All staff members spoke English. The room is a suitable room in Japan...the perfect amount of room to stay, sleep, work on a desk and relax. When we entered the room, there were slippers and pajamas that we could use. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom shower was excellent...great shower head and pressure. The toilet was a wonderful experience...warmed seat and bidet with various settings. The morning breakfast was very good with many choices. The morning soups were fantastic! This kept us satisfied for many hours. The hotel location was a very short walk to the Chiyoda station. From there, it is an easy connection to anywhere you would want to go in Tokyo. As a side note, the multi-day pass for the subway/train system is the best deal. All in all, this is an excellent choice to stay. There are convenience stores and restaurants all around and the location is safe and easy to maneuver. Check it out for sure...and the rates were excellent!
Typical small room with fair sound proof. Though located close to 3 different train station (JR Suidobashi 水道橋, Kudanshita 九段下, Jimbocho 神保町), it not convenient to travel to some popular tourist spots e.g. Ikebukuro 池袋 or Tsukijishijo 築地, with at least one transfer is needed. Having said that, if you are not fans of those tourist spots, there are enough restaurants, drugstores, convenience stores around for a short stay. Staffs are friendly, but a bit hesitate to communicate in English. As in other reviews, breakfast is included with basic food choices, mostly bread. With my next visit, still prefer hotels in Shinjuku新宿 / Ikebukuro池袋 areas, where connected with all key hot spots by one JR Yamanote 山手線.
The room was very small we was on the 11 floor and could smell food cooking in our room all night even though the hotel did not have a restraint and the nearest one was in the next street . The breakfast in the morning was very basic and was set up in the reception area and was not big enough for the number of people and was very cramp
First time in Japan and stayed here for 4 nights. Small but adequate room, with nice view of the street. Room was cleaned everyday, toothbrush, comb etc are provided. Breakfast was pretty basic (eggs, some form of meat, bread, coffee, juice), if you need variety there are nearby convenience stores (7-11 and lawson). There's a nearby coffee shop called Kanda Coffee, tried the milk coffee and its was pretty good. Great location, about 3 minutes walk from Jimbocho Station (Hanzomon, Shinjuku & Mita lines), take exit A2, turn right and then right again at the bank, walk straight up the street and the hotel is opposite a 7-Eleven/Dennys. Overall a pleasant stay, wouldn't mind coming back here the next time I visit Tokyo.
5 mins from Jimbocho, maybe 20 from Kudanshita, a 7-11 next door, a wondeful coffee shop 2 mins away, a pizzeria 5 mins away.... and some more.. the location is perfect. The room is tiny, but so is the case everywhere else in Tokyo. The room is comfortable though, the bathroom is very well equipped and the view doesnt matter. Yes, the disappointment is the breakfast, for a vegetarian. Canned juice, some cabbage and cucumber, some dressing, their standard egg prep, some bacon/n-veg dish, a soup and bread and coffee. So if you are a vegetarian, you will be disappointed... for a non-veg, its a good hostel breakfast. But 4-stars coz the location and is the cleanliness is just perfect. Go for it - we loved the connectivity as well. Tip - Jimbocho is closer than any other station. Take exit A-1, and you will be able to wheel your suitcase to the hotel.
