Charged more on property than the Expedia quoted total rate. Bathroom dirty and hair in the tub before we used it. Toilet is leaking. Back entrance completely open and accessible without using keycard. This property is older and I understand that, but not worth the price at all.

I've stayed here many times in the past. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. We sat in the restaurant for appx 15 minutes without anyone coming over, after being seated. There were no towels in the pool area and when we asked for some we never got them. The air-conditioning worked great and the room was clean. The hotel needs painting big time and needs a shuttle to bring you to Duluth. We never heard thank you for staying or anything. It felt like we were inconveniencing the staff by staying there.

Dining was sub par. Took forever to get waited on and i finished meal before beverages were served Food was served cold, ribs very dry and tough. Pizza was good though.

We stayed at this property for a soccer tournament being held in Duluth. Unfortunately, this property is in need a rehab! The hotel location is beautiful itself, being right along the waterfront, but the rooms really need to be remodeled. The furnishings are older, tired. At almost $200/night, I had hoped for better/nicer accommodations.

This Hotel is relaxing and quiet and close to Duluth so you can enjoy all the Duluth activities at a nice reasonable price. The restaurant had excellent service, good selection of good tasting food at very reasonable prices. It had inside and patio dining. This was my second time staying here and I will be back again.

Very nice

This was such a nice place and so relaxing and quiet! Very nice sitting out on deck watching boats come in and out while enjoying a cocktail! Staff was so friendly and helpful!

The hotel was probably a beautiful destination when it was built. It still has some retro charm, but overall in disrepair. The pool is big/nice but there is carpet in the pool area and what looks like green mold or moss growing in the non-carpeted parts. There is a funky smell in the halls and our room's bathroom was so dirty we almost asked to change rooms (lots of hair on the floor, used washcloth still in the shower). Location is beautiful on Lake Superior though.

Badly in need of a complete refurbishing.

Upon entering room 154, it was obvious that the queen bed by the window had a mattress which was so bowed in - in the middle of the mattress - that there was no way 2 people could sleep on that mattress without both people falling to the middle of the bed. On taking a shower, the tub filled with water. Something was obviously clogging the drain and we didn’t want to stick our hand in the drain to unclog it. The screen on the window in the room was on the ground outside the window. There was mold on the ceiling of the tub/shower. Every piece of furniture in the room was mismatched, scarred and scratched. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom were stained and coming apart. The fan sounded like a jet engine. The bathroom mirror had lost all the mirroring around the edges of the mirror.

Back to the 80’s

Hotel was stated trouble with the room keys rooms were dirty. Bathroom was dirty in need of major updates. Staff was clueless. Breakfast staff was understaffed.
