Very good location with several hikes (mostly waterfalls) nearby. We enjoyed Beech Bottom Falls, Twin Falls, and the Keowee-Toxaway Natural Bridge Trail, all nearby. We did a day trip to the Biltmore (about 1:30 each way) and a day at the cabin doing games and puzzles. The home was well stocked for our needs including towels, toiletries, and a wide range of kitchen supplies. We were not successful in pizza making (after $20 in wood we couldn't get a consistent high temp) so we used the very nice indoor gas oven. The outdoor seating areas are very nice and we kept a fire going in the porch fireplace each evening, although it was rainy for much of our trip so we were limited to the covered porch area. Everyone loved the master shower "room," only one tried the soaking tub (they did enjoy it), but everyone was a bit hesitant as although a remote location, the non-curtained full size window took some mental adjusting to. Our only real issue was the kitchen floors were very dirty (food, spills, dog hair, etc when we arrived) and needed a good mopping. Everything else seemed very clean (counters, bathrooms, bedding, etc) There is also no comfortable seating indoors upstairs or social space like a table other than the bar height island which was great for a puzzle, was not great for games or socializing for more than 6 people (there were 10 of us) (again, it was rainy so we couldn't use the outside table in the rain). The downstairs has lots of comfortable seating, but it was rarely used as it is very secluded from the main floor/living areas.
