We booked this property because it was very affordable and the location couldn’t be better—it was just minutes from the cycling event we attended. Piper’s Coffee was a two-minute walk away, and the neighbor in the duplex was very kind. The beds were soft and comfortable, which was nice after a long day. That said, there are areas that need improvement. Before booking I asked about kitchen supplies since we planned to cook, and was told they were available. Unfortunately, earlier reviews were accurate—there were only a couple of mugs, a few toddler-sized spoons, two forks, and no dish strainer or measuring cups. The skillets aren’t non-stick, so bring oil. The host did offer to bring some utensils after I checked in, but by then it was too late. The flooring is another issue—while the living room has vinyl, the kitchen has stick-on flooring that seemed tacky, and walking barefoot left my feet dirty. Parking is on the street and can be tight; the cone helps but doesn’t guarantee a spot. The stairs are pretty steep and right at the entrance, which was tricky with mobility issues. For the number of guests allowed, towels were limited (two bath, two hand, two washcloths).Overall, the location is excellent and the beds are nice, but the property would really benefit from addressing these reviews and improving for other guest.
