Esta suite con balcón en el segundo piso tiene todo lo que necesita para relajarse y descansar. Good weekend getaway for 2

We came for an extended weekend anniversary trip! The condo was good for what we needed. We were only there to sleep so it worked for us. As far as beach access it was a great location and the beach wasn’t crowded. We walked the beach for several miles each day and there were other sections that were more crowded. The bedroom is right on the exterior wall by the parking lot and roadway so the outside traffic is quite noisy at night when you’re trying to sleep. The bed is very soft so if you’re used to a firmer mattress that will be different sleep for you. No beach towels or beach chairs are provided which is fine if you’re driving in but for those flying like us you can’t pack that kind of stuff. There is only 1 towel and 1 washcloth provided per person and no laundry so would be nice to have more than 1 available. The tv in the bedroom didn’t work which wasn’t a big deal for us but fyi and the tv in the living room was spotty on the connection. Checkin process was very smooth. They text you the room door code when you get there so you have easy access to it and don’t have to carry a key around. There is a separate code for the beach access gate that isn’t text but I just took a photo of it so both were on my phone. View is lovely and we enjoyed our stay! There is an ice cream shop and pizza place right across the street and lots of other local places to eat within a few miles.

Management company great/unit had major issues

Checking in and all communication with the folks managing this place was excellent. The view is amazing. The unit is old and needs general repairs. The TV was not working because of an overdue bill but on day two was fixed. There was not enough hot water and we came to understand why- there is a leak coming up from the floor area. This owner has big repairs ahead.

Always a good place to rest few days

This is our 4th time visiting this property on different apartments and, again, didn't disappoint. Nice view of the beach (which is also pet friendly), just few minutes from many interesting attractions. Is not your high star rated hotel, but just your modest, nice and well maintained apartment in front of the beach. Of course we will be going back.

Lovely beach view, quiet area, older building needs some TLC. Unit small but sufficient for 2 or 3 people. Ample kitchen, small bathroom, low ceilings standard uncomfortable pull out sofa. Overly soft queen bed, bring your own pillow provided ones are a joke. Prompt maintenance and housekeeping. Convenient location, shopping,etc close

Awesome beachfront location but tired facilities

Beechers is right on the beach. Awesome location. The rooms looked clean overall but are a little tired. The stove and refrigerator were clean on the inside but need to be upgraded, in my first room. I found tiny bugs on the counter tops. They allowed me to switch rooms but I had to pay extra because the room was larger and an upgrade. I looked at another “silver” room but saw the bugs there, as well. So I took the “gold” without the bugs. They should have covered the extra $50. All the rooms need refreshing, painting in the “gold” room and all the rooms I saw, new bedroom shades and appliances in the “silver” room. The price was less than other places so this is why.

Amazing view

Amazing view, family friendly, dog friendly, great shower pressure, great pool, quick walk to beach, safe. Definitely would stay again! Could use a dishwasher, better cooking pots/utensils (from 2 cooking-lovers), and better toilet but not a deal breaker at all!! Great place!!

My Stay

I have stayed at Beachers Lodge several times. I loved the view. My room was clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was fantastic as I watched the sun rise while drinking my coffee.

Toilet has an internal water leak Witch causes the the water pipes to rattle every 20 minutes when it refills. Had to shut water off to Toilet at night so we could sleep. The a/c in bedroom is very noisy

Not As Advertised

We had high expectations based on the listing and the photos but were extremely disappointed and frustrated. There were ants in every room and the bathroom. The tv in the bedroom was terrible (the subtitles would not turn off even when the setting was off and there was an additional random subtitle frozen on the screen in the middle left). Took multiple attempts just to change the volume or channel. The a/c unit in the bedroom sounded like a loud plane if you turned the air to a low temperature and it was hit or miss on if it would work. The paint was peeling and coming off a portion on the ceiling of the master bedroom and it was very musty (both my husband and I would start coughing shortly after entering the bedroom), the sheets were ripped with holes on the side of the bed, and the bed was the most uncomfortable one we have ever slept on. The high flow button the toilet didnt work, the main door was extremely hard to unlock and open. The community laundry was EXTREMELY loud every day and night and sounded like it was right next to the room. The only good things about the property was the high water pressure in the shower, the view of the beach and the very nice front office staff. Only two elevators (one on the north side and one on the south) and one of the elevators broke on the last day. Construction also going on where you would hear banging at 8am. Elevators also had exposed wires where the light fixtures should be. Great location but stay anywhere else.

Shannon was nice, good price

We've never been to Florida and we're from the other side of the country. So it's very possible we just aren't familiar with the culture and standard for this area. It was nice enough, but the pictures make the apartment look nicer than it is. 🤷 The beach is very pretty and easily accessible. Although we weren't informed that there was a coded gate to get to the beach. When I went to the lobby to ask for it the woman was somewhat condescending. We thought we were going to arrive after the lobby closed at 10pm. So I called Shannon (the property contact), she gave me late arrival instructions. She was very nice and helpful. We arrived just before closing, but the front desk didn't know anything about it, which caused further communication issues. Last, it's very far from the attractions of St. Augustine, about a 20 min drive one way. So if you're a first time visitor I wouldn't recommend for that reason alone. Anyway, we wouldn't stay here again, but the complex seemed pretty popular. If you're not picky at all about the accommodations, Shannon's nice, good price. 👍

Great place all around

Great location, price and right on the beach. Pool was a good size and heated. It was a great size condo for my wife and I, you could probably have a third person stay in the sofa sleeper but that’s it’s. Bathroom was very cramped. All in all we would definitely stay here again.

My dog wanted to leave…do not stay here!

Unit smelled of mold and old furniture. The living room furniture and all the throw pillows were stained, worn out, and smelled. The coffee table was literally peeling apart (particle board). There were ants all over the kitchen table. There was a broom and a dustpan leaning up against the kitchen counter. . There were over crowded electrical outlets over the sink and dirty smudge all over the walls, light switches, and doorways. The bedroom had nightstand lamps that looked like they were picked up from a yard sale on the side of the road 15 years ago, with both of them yellow stained, dented, and falling apart. Wires hanging from the TV not plugged in…just wires dangling. The ceiling in the bedroom is in need of desperate repair. No closet or hangers. Kitchen sink stained and in need of repair, and the top of fridge had a lovely layer of dust and filth that hadn’t been cleaned since I don’t know when. Bathroom sink drain broken so that was filled up. Had to cut the trip short and leave as the smell made me ill. Unit is in dire need of attention and new furniture. The blinds in the bedroom don’t cut it either. View was fantastic! The manager at Beachers Lodge was great, as was the pool area and the beach. I spent an hour cleaning when I arrived and was still grossed out. I am certain there are beautiful, well kept and cared for units at this property, but not this one.

Insects and draining problems

The outside balcony had a beautiful view, HOWEVER, there were tons of small insects crawling on the kitchen AND bathroom counters. We did not cook at all and ate out with every meal. The insects were there on day 1. Also, the shower and bathroom sink did not drain well. We took showers standing in pooled water. Management was informed of the insects and plumbing problem and (supposedly) maintenance came to address the issues-not sure if they did as the shower and sink were still clogged and bugs still crawling everywhere. They preferred to come when no one was inside condo. We filed a second complaint about the insects, so management stated that the pest control company would come spray while we were out of the room. No sign of that actually occurred. Small bugs were crawling on the counters even on the morning we left. Obviously management has not addressed the plumbing issues as the recent reviews state this has been a problem. Not once did the front desk offer to change our room, and no partial refund has been issued for the inconvenience. I would rather pay $100 more per night to ensure there are no bugs crawling on the counters. SO grossed out.

Our stay

Outside property very nice, beautiful view of ocean from balcony. However room not so good rust in shower sink would not drain , both ac units very noisy couldn’t sleep so loud. Patio furniture rusty also indoor furniture old damaged outdated. Unit needs upgrades outdated wires hanging from walls . Noisy neighbors also smokers in units all around us. Very disappointed due to all of this cut our stay in half . After complaining mgmt. gave partial refund

Bathroom drains

They both need to be cleared with a 'powershot' which is a high pressure Water injection to clear accumulated sand and debris in the drain traps of the bathroom sink and tub - really bad. Other wise, teh facility was excellent!

Pet friendly

Overall the condo was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I love that pets are welcome. The only problem was that the sinks were not draining well and only one person could have a warm shower. I will absolutely be back.
