The parking immediately on property was very limited- across the street was good. We drove a midsize SUV & realized it was NOT drive-thru lot. A very tight fit for our new car. us A lady pulled rt behind us & we realized it was too tight for us to park, we politely asked her to roll back to let us out. She refused!!!! SHE told us we were fine - SHE has an SUV & can park there & she was NOT moving. OKAY.. so after maneuvering very tight to our liking, we made it in. The lady in the vehicle gave us our parking pass. Disappointed to know this was an OWNER?Not a good 1st impression.
Went up to the room, changed to go down to the beach... NO ACCESS AT OUR LOCATION. Nope! The city was dredging up sand from the ocean and pumping it onto sand to prevent/resist erosion. Seriously! There were signs posted in elevator letting residents/visitors know this was going to be happening for many days. We were never forewarned. It was not landlord's fault, but a HEADS UP or DISCOUNTED rate would have been a kindness. We booked this place bc of it's location- ON THE BEACH... so we had to wagon it down to a beach access road all week long. Disappointed to say the least after a 5 hr drive, and booking several months out.
The room was clean, refrigerator is small, FYI, so check size before buying any perishables (frozen pizzas, bag ice.)
The pillows- like pancakes!! $20 in pillows could make the visit better. We went & bought our own.
