Walls are very thin, you can hear both rooms tv and movement

The motel is conveniently located just north of downtown South Bend. There is easy access to I 80-90. The motel is flanked on either side by restaurants with another just across the street.

Microtel is a name I always look for when traveling. Having had the opportunity to stay in several locations, this one was disappointing. The worst thing for me was the uncleanliness of my room. Stains on carpet, upholstery and walls. Dirt in corners, layers of dust in numerous places. Another major thing for me was no frig or microwave! That's something that sold me on Microtel. When I called front desk to inquire, they were vague and no help. Never before have I had an experience like this at a Microtel.

Very basic hotel. no fridge or microwave in the rooms. You can hear everything in your room. Ice machine was across the hall, not tucked into a corner, so I was woken up at 6:30am for someone using it. Can hear everything. The breakfast is better than nothing, but extremely poor quality hot food. Nasty formed egg, nasty sausage patty, slimy gravy. Was the same on both days. I just think this hotel is overpriced. Its only because of the college they can get this money. They seem to spend the bare minimum to keep this place running. the staff was very nice. No pool, workout facilty was a treadmill and elliptical.

Dirty sheets. Not varied breakfast. Only one person doing breakfast

I had a good experience at this economy hotel near Notre Dame. The room was very clean and well serviced. The hotel also had some gym equipment for workouts, which was a nice convenience.

10 day stay in January, for work group. Hotel is getting run-down, but cleaned well each day. Breakfast is always the same, not great but adequate. Some nights were noisy, walls are thin.

The owner/general manager was present all morning in the complimentary breakfast area and lobby to insure that thins were tidy and food and coffee were well supplied. I spoke with him to tell him how impressed I was with the condition of the hotel as he expressed how many hours he puts in a week to keep it that way. Highly recommended and reasonably priced for two queens beds and nice bathroom with internet access right near ND campus.

Fine for a quick stay, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable.

Soiled carpet and benches. The breakfast was cold because they blew a fuse.

The carpet has stains and there was black markings on the painted wall. The window cushion was stained.

This place never lets me down. No frills but the location is great & it's clean. Nice shower. Not as nice as Staybridge but it's $50 less

After flying into Chicago on the red-eye and driving to South Bend, all I was looking for was a quiet, comfortable bed so that I could get adjusted to the time zone. Microtel Inn & Suites provided that and more. The location is excellent: just off the toll road, close to numerous restaurants (from fast food to family sit-down), and close to the Notre Dame campus. The room was clean and quiet, and the bed plenty comfortable for a tired traveler. The complimentary breakfast was just the cherry on top.

in town for a funeral, room was clean and comfortable staff was exceptionally nice and helpful notre dame football weekend so I was lucky to get a room anywhere

We were visiting Notre Dame for Junior Parents Weekend, and the Microtel is a great home base for campus activities. The included breakfast is a nice spread. The snow had been pretty heavy all winter, and the weekend that we were there marked a thaw, and they managed to get the parking lot cleared of accumulated packed snow.

the location is great and very convenient to time square. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Great deal for the price. Was a great location and the stall very pleasant .

Overall experience was mediocre. When we went for the continental breakfast, most of the food was gone and there was no coffee left. We waled next door to Bob Evans for breakfast. Room was adequate and service was ok. For the price it was acceptable.

The service was excellent and the room too confortable and very clean...love it

great value for a business stayover in south bend in
