Stayed 6 nights in a Bure with the family. Room is a generous size, with big balcony, bathroom was clean. The staff are all very friendly. I would recommend if you want to just chill out. We noticed late in the first evening after dinner that we had only 2 towels in the room (with 4 staying) and one bed only had a sheet on it - no duvet. We raised this next morning together with the fridge not cooling and all these issues were promptly dealt with. Things that need improving - - breakfast was a bit repetitive - there were different options if you wanted to have noodles or meat (even burgers and pizza) but the breads were the same, the bacon / eggs etc always same. Juices were bottled and very sweet. - more loungers / cushions are needed - there werent enough round the pool (as in people put their items on them early in the day - standard hotel practice) but equally there werent enough at the ends of the resort outside to bures which may have taken some pressure off the pool. And often there were no towels available. - the food wasnt all that amazing at dinner - overcooked, lacking sauces etc (we didnt eat lunch) - the music on continual loop was a bit annoying if you were sat in certain parts - one dinner we had 3 different types of music playing from 3 different areas all converging on where we were sat which made it hard to relax for dinner. Highlights - the staff - friendly from the first Bula to the last - Pool though cool in the mornings - the water sports - free paddleboards and kayaks

We had a great, relaxing 5 night stay here recently. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable and would remember our names from one day to the next. We stayed in one of the beach front bures that were roomy, clean and had amazing sunset views. There was enough to do if you wanted to do any activities that were advertised each day - free kayaks and paddle boards, paintball, horse riding and a tennis court. Other activities were organised throughout the day if you wished to take part. Only two downsides - the hotel could do with more sunbeds around the grounds. There were never enough available - everyone appeared to nab them with their towels really early and disappear. Not having young children we didn't need to be right by the pool, but would have been nice if there were more around within a reasonable distance. The other downside - was the slow service in the restaurants. We waited over an hour for our food every time. One night we ordered starters (because I had read the reviews about the long wait for food) but they arrived the same time as the main meals.

My partner and I stayed here back in March and OH MY GOSH what an experience. The staff were beyond amazing. I work in a Hotel in Australia and I can admit their service was 100% better than what I see/ receive. Breakfast was so good, every day we were in heaven! We have decided when we have kids we will be taking them there! Thankyou to all the amazing staff!!!

We stayed at the DoubleTree last week for 5 days and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We had the last bure on the west side of the resort. It was a peaceful spot. Loved the sunsets. The room was spacious for our family of four. Very clean. The food was decent for breakfast and dinner. We were out most of the days on tours and it's really easy to get to the port. The airport is only a 25 minute ride as well. The staff are AMAZING! Very kind and engaging. The service, at times, was a bit slow but we were on Fiji time :). Our girls loved the horse ride on the beach and swam for hours.

Nice hotel, nicer than other doubletree hotels I’ve stayed in before. Hotel room is spacious and a huge bathroom with ample supplies. Hotel amenities were also adequate. They even give out welcome cookies which were delicious. But service was bad, very slow. We ordered room service for our teenaged daughter at 7pm and then went out to dinner at the hotel restaurant. When we came back to them room 2.5 hour later her food has not come yet. Service in the restaurant was also at a snail’s pace. Don’t expect for your order to come until an hour later. There was one instance I had to go buy snacks in the hotel convenience store first because our food has not come yet and we came from an island day trip and were really hungry.

Such a wonderful and beautiful facility. Our kids loved the pool area and all the activities. The staff was exceptional, helpful and so considerate. The food was delicious. Bure room on the beach was spacious, clean, easy to get to and from the pool and dining. Overall amazing time and can't wait to go back!

We stayed at the Doubletree for 3 nights and overall had a pleasant experience. Loved the big room and bathroom, especially the bathtub. There is a large TV and the rooms feel very fresh and new. Upon arrival we were asked if we wanted to change to a bigger room for a higher price. It transpired that this new room was ages away from the main area whereas our assigned room was a one minute walk. Not sure why we were offered to 'upgrade', the first room was perfectly acceptable. The porter is not always there ready and we had to ask to chase them up twice. We got free wifi for signing up to the Hilton Rewards program which was hassle free. The pool is great, its very large which is good because there were kids using it all the time, you if you wanted to avoid kids jumping next to you it was possible. Loved the swim up bar! There are plenty of sun chairs around the pool and some on the man made beach looking out to the water. The sea water itself is murky and brown and is cut off from the island by rocks - you wouldn't want to swim. So if you really want to swim in the sea, this isn't the resort for you. I feel that the pool makes up for it though. The food was good but the service is consistently slow. We put that down to 'Fiji Time'. We were forgotten about a couple of times. There was a great fire show on the beach one night which was free and we enjoyed being able to dine on the beach as well. The massage service near the pool was excellent and was a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed our time and would recommend the resort to people who like big pools, friendly staff and kid-friendly resorts.

We came here for 4 nights with our family of four(2 adults and 2 kids aged 2 and 6 yrs). Booked and stayed in a hotel room with 2 king beds. Rooms were certainly big enough for all of us, modern and clean. However we noticed there was an “animal” in our room for a few nights as it made noises and noticed some of our belongings had been chewed on. We quickly informed them and they told us a rodent had been caught following this. Things we liked about the resort: -Awesome pool for all ages -Yummy Thalis on the menu for dinner -Kids eat free if accompanied by an adult -Massages and spa experience is relaxing and worthwhile but high prices as expected -Fijian night with dinner and show was fun and enjoyable. -our room was nice and close to the restaurant and pool with pram access Despite the good things about the resort. There were definitely not so nice things about the resort... The fire alarm went off for 2 nights while the kids were sleeping, it took them 25 minutes to attend the situation after ringing reception 3 times. Certainly don’t think this is acceptable if it was a real fire. Service is poor and communication was always an issue. I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday and tried to arrange a special dinner for him, spoke to 5 different staff to ensure this happened and made sure the reservation was done. Guess what? this still didn’t happen until the actual night where I kicked up a fuss. On another occasion, we waited 1 hr and 10 mins for our lunch to arrive. They had forgotten our order. Food was often cold when served. Maybe we were unlucky with all these issues. One major element which we thought was missing from a tropical holiday is having access to a beach, although the resort is right on the water, there is no beach to access if you wanted to swim. Not that you would want to as the water looked really brown and murky. We didn’t see anyone swim in the sea or do any water sports while we were there. Something else to consider is the location of the resort. This resort DOUBLE TREE HILTON is not the Hilton in denarau. It is 30 mins drive to denarau. And you are very isolated there. Would we come back and recommend? No not at all, for the price we paid, we would have rather gone somewhere else.

The rooms are great. The staff are friendly, and the service is extremely slow. However the food is way below what we would expect from the Hilton group. Breakfast had a lack of fresh food. Food was cold. Coffee poor. The Cereal was in packets. Lunch was oily salads and dinners we had to wait and hour between ordering and being served mediocre food. Overall the view is great, it’s clean. They try but need to lift their game..

From the time you arrive at the jetty to catch your ride to the island the staff make you feel like you have come home. If you don't mind being a little isolated from the main stream this place is ideal. The rooms are tidy with good bathroom facilities and very comfortable beds. There are plenty of activities available and the beautiful infinity pool with fabulous views to the outer islands complete with swim up bar is a great place to spend your time.
