I hesitated to write a review, particulary since the owner asked for a review, but included their own interpretation of the star ratings which doesn't align w typical ratings. We found this to be pretty offensive, honestly. This platform is built on customer feedback, so I think it's fair we leave a review and If I don't get a 5 star review, so be it. We're spending our hard-earned money, and expect a place of this size/in this area to be decent for $200-300+nt ($330/nt). This isn't our first VRBO. We use the platform quite a bit, and this is the worst experience we've had. I'm guessing people are afraid to leave a review of this property based how the owner asks for them.
The views, while gorgeous, were impeded by handprints all over every single window and sliding glass door. I cleaned coffee splashes on the outlet/wall in the kitchen, had to empty a very full dishwasher upon arrival b/c there were no dishes to use otherwise, found a crust of stale bread by a chair, used a potholder that was dirty with crusty food, could see dust bunnies under the master bed when I was sitting in the living room (wasn't looking for them), the shower curtain is stained, the liner is mildewed. The hottub looked clean, but looking at the filter, there was gray/brown scum in it.
Cosmetically, the doors and trim are unfinished/unpainted/stained/dirty. I'm not in construction, so for me to notice, it's gotta be bad. The refrigerator is very dented. I found a chipped dinner plate when I emptied the dishwasher. The kitchen counter isn't really a counter, but a piece of painted plywood, that's chipped off in places.
I didn't contact the owner during our stay b/c I didn't want to be inconvenienced during our vacation, but did send them a message afterwards. They agreed our concerns were valid, and that all they can do is apologize to us, and will take action to correct for the future.
