Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle

Really good stay at vintage park - large room, decent view - and although the restaurant was closed for July 4th the front desk staff had good recommendations on nearby restaurants. Also - thanks to Cheryl at the front desk who sent a bottle of wine to our room after I'd mentioned that we'd last stayed at the hotel on our wedding night. Really thiughtful and very much appreciated.

We stayed two nights on a business trip. We found the hotel room to be small; much smaller than a 3 star hotel. The TV searched for signal for several minutes before it came on. The bed was comfortable but there were not enough towels in the bathroom. The room was clean but needed a new carpet and marble tile. There was no noise. No coffee maker in the room. We wanted to try the restaurant the first evening but it was booked. We did not like the pumps of generic shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel and were expecting luxurious fragrant soaps which were missing. No counter space in the bathroom. Overall satisfactory but not a 4 star experience.

The room layout was odd, shaped like a T, with the TV at the far end from where the bed was located. The bellboy explained how the thermostat worked but it really didn't. The room got very warm, and the 2nd night when I turned down the fan it was a little better. The windows don't open, so you are at the mercy of the heating system. There was no in room coffee and there wasn't coffee in the lobby; guess they want you to call room service. On the plus side, the staff was very nice and the 5-6 p.m. wine "happy hour" in the lobby was fun

We checked in late at around 11PM and the staff was very friendly and quick as to we just had a long flight. When we got to our room it was bigger than what we expected based on the description and reviews by previous guests. We were very pleasantly surprised, the room was spacious considering that we had two medium suitcases and two adults (including myself) in the room. I am mildly allergic to dog hair however I did not have any allergic reactions which was wonderful because I knew the room was clean! The walls are not thin because we didn't hear a single noise from the room next door, however we were almost at the end of the hall in room 711. The bathroom comes with a bottle of liquid hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all were full size which was very nice because then we didn't have to worry about running out of anything. I also thoroughly enjoyed the free wine in the lobby during the afternoons, that was very nice and thoughtful. The only cons to staying at this hotel were that there was a sticky odorous substance in the mini fridge possibly from a previous guest. We found it on our last night because we were so thirsty we had a bottle of water (which is reasonably priced), so it wasn't a big deal. Another con was that the pillows were so firm and fluffy it was like my neck was at a high angle which made it very uncomfortable to sleep on, but we just asked for more pillows and the staff was very friendly and accommodating about that.

as mentioned above, great hotel, staff, clean but just too expensive.

The room given to us had no view and was right by the noisy restaurant, we were moved to another room which had a strange odor. We moved back to the first room but no other options were provided, no apology, no discount, no acknowledgement that there was even a problem. Otherwise, it was nice, but service was my what we expected from a Kimpton hotel.

Average hotel. Very expensive. Parking price is ridiculous.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Valet parking only. Complimentary wine every day from 5-6 pm in the lobby. Great central location. Rooms are small but comfortable and nice. Dog friendly.

Very nice and cozy. Room service is a bit slow to respond to customer requests. Would stay there again!

Overall we really enjoyed the hotel, we have stayed at Kimpton hotels in the past and found them to provide a consistently good and slightly quirky (in a good way) experience. The staff were very helpful, including prompt attention to a problem with our in-room media tech. Speaking of which, it was a nice discovery to find that they offered cables and router to enable you to stream your own media to the TV (so we were able to access our Netflix account instead of ordering movies through the hotel service). A nice touch, once they got it working! ($75 refundable deposit). Location is reasonable, a 15 minute walk to the more interesting stuff around, and a 25 minute walk back (up-steep-hill!). You will rediscover your calf muscles, if like us you hail from the mid-West. They only criticism is that the rooms did not include any coffee/tea making provision.

It was a great place to stay for a weekend getaway. The hotel is in a great location and easily accessible to top attractions. It was close walking distance to Pike Place Market and Safeco Field. Definitely worth staying the night!

Small but chic contemporary lobby with fireplace and evening wine receptions, great valet transportation services. Upstairs, my room was plainer than the typical Kimpton property hotel, but we found its quality intact with the bedding. We also wished the restaurant had more farm to table fruits and vegetables, but the seafood was all you'd expect.

Very modern and beautiful! They had my room ready 2 hours before check in. Very clean! If you need anything (curlers, blow dryer, tampons, etc) they will get it for you! Great friendly staff. And happy hour with wine every night!

The room was spacious and clean. I really liked the decor.

The room is very modern and clean. It is centrally located - a few blocks from the light rail station which takes you directly from the Seattle Airport. The room (queen or king bed; I can't remember exactly) is moderately sized but good for 2 people. Yes they do have a rack of things that they charge you for should you eat/use them, but there is also a list of complimentary items should you forget them at home, e.g. nail clipper, contact lens solution. Staff is also friendly. For the price, it's a great deal and doesn't get much better!

Good location and helpful pleasant staff. The rooms was small and parking way over priced.

The staff, in particular, is the greatest strength of this hotel. They treat you like family and always have a smile on their faces, even when they have to work on Christmas!

I had a room that was a bit chilly, and the thermostat didn't seem to warm it up sufficiently. Everything else was perfect. The staff -- including concierge and front desk people -- couldn't be better. When one of them heard that I was a bit under the weather (probably from the flight), she sent up cider and tea to help me recuperate. I felt as though I were family! Plus, the 5-6pm daily wine hour is a wonderful tradition. Bravo!

Friendly staff and excellent restaurant. City location is ideal for downtown walking and sightseeing.

I spent one night here on a quick trip to Seattle to meet incoming friends from Germany. The hotel was perfect for what I needed, in the heart of downtown. The room was very generous in size, I had a junior suite, and I thought the price was very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again. When I checked in late at night the staff was bright and funny. I had fun joking with the receptionist. She made my day. The morning staff were just a friendly. I did not eat in the restaurant but it also looked very good.

Hello John, Thank you for writing about your experience! I appreciate the shout out to Cheryl. She is so wonderful! We actually just promoted her to a supervisor because she's impressed us so much. I'm so happy that she helped to make your return visit special! We hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Hayden Lingerfelt General Manager
