What a disappointment, We have stayed here in the past (several times) and found the stay to be good. This time however NOT. When you check they ask you for a $50 deposit I guess to make sure no one smokes in the room. I suppose that would not have bothered me except that when the door to the room was opened the stench was over whelming (Not from some one smoking). We had to open the patio doors and sprayed glad air freshener and air the room out we were able to stay the night. I think if the odor would of been from smoke i think the room would have smelt better. Other points - Saw a roach crawling across the dresser and the TV remote was held together with tape and would not work. My advice stay away from this place. All I could do was keep applying hand sanitizer every time we touched something.

Stayed at this hotel a few times. I like it for the convenient location and very reasonable price. The rooms are a good size and clean. Nothing fancy at all. Breakfast is super basic so I usually don't even bother. It's a 10 min drive to Lido Beach and about 15-20 min drive to Siesta Key Beach.

staff that checked us in could use classes in customer service

Fairly comfortable hotel, about 10-15 mins to Lido Key; across the street from Publix. I stayed here a few times and it seems they are slowly updating the bathrooms, painting the walls etc. Nothing fancy about it but it's clean, good price and conveniently located.

Good hotel for the price. Great location, Publix just accross the street !!!

This is a perfect little place to stay for folks spending on a budget. It is not glamorous, it is dated, but if you are using it for showers & sleeping it is perfect. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean, and nothing seemed Not-safe. I traveled with my Wife and her Sister, I had no worries about them walking around by themselves. The breakfast was what was expected, & the coffee was good.

Very inexpensive. No frills. Location was where I wanted.

Our room was dingy and dark with duct tape holding the window shut and a dirty sink and bath tub. It felt like if I were to shower in there, I'd come out dirtier than if I didn't. There was a sodden board near the pool area with rusty nails sticking out of it, and we witnessed another guest step in it accidentally. When we tried to help this man the woman working at the front desk came out and yelled at us for being noisy (it was 8:30pm), rather than worrying about the injured guest. There is a Taco Bell in the same parking lot as the motel. One of the nights we watched a woman being arrested by 3 police cars right outside our room. Do not spend any money staying here. Pay more to stay literally ANYWHERE ELSE.

My first impression was that it was not what I thought it would be. First of all, it was located BEHIND Taco Bell and hard to find and the entrance looked rather rundown. However, the room they gave us on the second floor was large, comfortable, clean and overlooked a large pool. And it was very quiet.

The front desk lady mean person, the towel used to be white, yellow now, room 206 that I stay in, full of cockroaches

One of the staff members was not friendly, but others were good.

The front desk staff was very friendly parking is limited but the location is absolutely wonderful downtown is within walking distance and Publix is just across the street. Not to mention a neighboring Taco Bell and Mcdonalds!!! Only minus too much clutter in the hallways hurry along those renovations guys! I'm sure your upgrades will be a delight. I say yes to Americas Best!!!!

The room smelt bad. When we walked in we seen roaches crawling on the floor. On top of it my daughter and I got scabbies. Never would I recommend it to anyone.

Service very bad.the person in front desk very rude all the times.we thought that was because we are Hispanic and we don't speak Ingles very well .for the price the hotel it's ok but we don't come back to this hotel again. And we will not recommend it to anybody

I was overall satisfied with the motel but the staff could use some training in friendly customer service.

overall I would say the room was good it was clean one day the housekeeping did forget our towels staff were friendly and helpful

has fridge and microwave and ok for the price but a very old smell was prominent.

We (family) are repeat visitors to Americas Best Value Inn Sarasota. It's not by any means a big fancy resort --- more of a small, basic hotel --- but you cannot beat the price for the location, just a 10-minute drive from the beaches. It's a nice little place to rest your head in a comfy bed. Large food store right across the street is great.

I had an awesome time. It was a wonderful night inn.

I was stuck with a smoking room even though I requested a non-smoking. Nothing appeared to have been renovated since the 80's. It felt unsafe and dirty. Was thankful to see the light of day so that I could leave.

We are sorry you were dissatisfied with our deposit policy and the room. We wish you would of contacted our front desk immediately upon entering the room. This could of have been handled in the appropriate manner. Once again, we apologize for issues you faced.
