Great pool for the kids, close proximity to the beach and host was easy to contact with a great response time. It’s my understanding from the host that this rental will soon be getting an upgrade renovation that will improve the few things we requested to be taken care of at the beginning of our stay. We had a great time!!

Lovely home the space was great for our family of 10 the pool was great to come back to after a day on beach we had trouble getting kids out. Josh was great check in was easy, we cooked alot while there we had to go buy a mixer none at house, the one bedroom upstairs ( not master) did not cool very well so was happy to have the fans. The beaches are breathtaking we will be keeping this place in mind for are next trip.

Not what was pictured

We were extremely disappointed with this house and it took away from our joy of being on vacation. We love Destin and vacation there almost every summer but this was the first time we had to deal with this kind of situation. Many things were in disrepair like doors, plumbing, and bathrooms. There is no real shower in the “main” bathroom only a shower head to aide in deception. The house smelled musty and dank. we bought plugins to mask its odor. wood planks on the back porch deck were unsafe to walk on because they were so weak. The decor seems to be an afterthought and absolutely did not match the pictures on Vrbo. This house has no en-suite bathroom for the main bedroom. There is a chair in the living room that is absolutely filthy and disgusting. The house was not cleaned well at all. There was dust, dirty walls, dirty floors, and spider webs everywhere inside. Filthy carpet remnants were in place instead of rugs. I wish I could submit more pictures.

Quiet getaway

We loved our stay here. We rented a golf cart to easily get to and from the beach (would recommend!). This location was quiet and accommodating for our party of 12. Will consider staying here again in the future!

Spring break 2025

We had an amazing stay overall! The location is solid, just 1.3 miles from the beach, with great food and shopping options just minutes away. It was the perfect spot for our family vacation, though with a group of mostly females, we found the two bathrooms in the main house to be a bit challenging (a planning oversight on our part). Fortunately, everyone was able to shower without any worries about hot water, which was a huge plus.The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 for cleanliness is due to the pool area. While the water itself was clean, the house is surrounded by pine trees, and we struggled to keep up with the needles since we were out most days.Overall, the house was fantastic for our family. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and it offered a prime location for exploring both 30A and Destin. We would definitely recommend it!

Spring Break

It was our first time visiting this area for spring break. The restaurants and beach were close to travel to or walk. We appreciated the pool toys available and the corn hole boards. We sat on the deck chairs while some family grilled. My son especially enjoyed the cottage so he could spend some time with other friends, away from the adults. The beds were extremely comfortable. I appreciated the blow dryer, as I left mine at home. We will definately be back.

Great Home away from home

We had so much fun staying at Milly Pond. Josh was great to work with and accommodated us very well. I was pleasantly surprised to have a conversation with the actual owner and not someone who was paid to manage the property. 12 of us stayed comfortably and enjoyed the many different private areas to sit back and relax. There are so many outdoor areas to enjoy; two balconies, a deck space off of each home, the pool patio area, and the beautiful screened in porch. Though the property is not new like some of the ones we stayed at in the past, we liked that it felt like we were at home. The neighborhood is quiet and private, which was a great place to hang out when the tourist areas started feeling crowded. There are several beaches within a very short distance, you can even hear the waves crashing while sitting out in the yard, which was pretty cool. The pool was cold, but we all enjoyed swimming in it all week. The property provided a lot of extra perks like beach equipment. Whatever we lacked in the kitchen we found in the cottage. The beds are comfortable too, which we all were thankful for. If you are looking for a comfortable, lived-in home away from home in Santa Rosa, I would highly recommend staying at the Milly Pond.

MillyPad review

Great location to state park top sail. Very secluded. Very clean. House was a little different. No master bath but we made do and a little older home. Screen porch was very nice. Pool was good but we had to clean it as it was between cleanings. Overall had a great time.

Great Getaway!

Roomy house was perfect for our family! The cottage was adorable and the pool was a hit. The only downfall was the master bedroom didn’t have its own toilet. Two bathrooms in a big house was a bit of an inconvenience for us.

Family Fun in FL

Josh, was a very easy host to work with and check in and check out was very easy. The location was very central and nice to be on 30A. Our family of 8 was very comfortable, and it had plenty of space for our 2 grandsons to run around and nice yard to play catch in. We call commented every morning how comfortable the beds were and how happy everyone had a bed to sleep in.

Best trip ever!

The house was great! We never felt cramped with our party of 10. The location is wonderful. We rode our rented golf carts everyday. The pool was wonderful to come back to after a day at the beach. We will definitely be back!

Perfect house for a family of all ages

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was very roomy. We had 6 adults and 4 children (aging from 1 year to 5 years old) and we had plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable. The pool was perfect in this hot weather. It was very well maintained. It was so relaxing to be able to just walk outside and jump in the pool and cool off anytime we wanted. The owner was very responsive to all of our needs. The landscaping was really pretty so there were plenty of places to take photos. All in all we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay.

Felt like home

The Milly Pad was just what we wanted. Spent a wonderful week with our family of 11 and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Very cozy and clean. Josh was an excellent host! Communication with him was fast and very helpful. Pool was just what the kids ordered lol. We also rented a golf cart for the week which made it easy for a fast trip down 30A to the amazing beaches or just to grab a cup or two of coffee. Would 100% definitely recommend. Thank you Josh.

FABULOUS

The Milly Pad was perfect!! The Little Cottage was the perfect spot for extra guests and a quiet place to work. We really enjoyed the pool, grilling, etc. We loved the quiet neighborhood and being away from the hustle and bustle of the traffic. We will definitely book again!

Home away from home!

Spent an amazing week with 7 adults and 3 kids. Couldn’t have asked for a better time and place to stay! Very clean and cozy and a great host! Pool was fantastic! Everything is far enough from the bigger cities but close enough to get to if you want that environment. The beaches there on 30A are perfect. Definitely recommend!

Just what we needed in 30A

Our family of 8 ranging from 3 yrs to 77 yrs old had the most wonderful stay in this home. It met our needs for space, cleanliness, proximity to the beach and fun. The kitchen was stocked well enough for us to cook a few meals during our stay and simply having the space to eat all together in the enclosed patio was nice. We rented golf carts for the week and enjoyed riding up to the beach area a couple of times a day. The host, Josh responded quickly to our questions and so kind of enough to drop off a few items we needed like beach toys and towels.

Great house and location!

Amazing Trip - Great Hosts

Quiet location and a short golf cart ride (easy to rent) to the beaches and great restaurants. Josh was spot on with recommendations and prompt communication! Our kids lived in the pool when not at the beach and we had plenty of room in the main house. In-laws loved the small cottage on the property as well! Overall great family spring break trip and will be back.

Great Getaway

The home plus cottage rental was prefect for our group. Neighborhood is quiet/tucked away, great for walks and enjoying the surrounding nature paths. I would recommend renting a golf cart, local beaches/restaurants are a distance.
