Villa Blanca Cloud Forest was the best Hotel that we have ever been in Costa Rica. From the amazing staff to the food. The Cabin was spectacular so much peace in this piece of heaven. I highly recommend this hotel if you need to rest and to get away from it all. Milking the cows was a fun tour :)

My wife and I enjoyed three wonderfully relaxing days as virtually the only guests at Villa Blanca. Our casita was warm and inviting and we spent most of one day relaxing on our patio reading and watching the birds. While the on-site trails are not long, we enjoyed hiking (our first day) and running (our second day) through the cloud forest. Meals were healthy and delicious. Gustavo waited on us several times and his pride in the food and it’s preparation was obvious and appreciated. They have several beers brewed by Poeta in San Ramón. For something different try the one brewed with tarragon. We look forward to coming back sometime in the not too distant future.

Amazing and classy experience. We loved the peaceful tranquility of this resort, having spent the first half of our trip at a noisy resort in Punteranas. We visited in mid May and had the whole resort to ourselves for almost our entire visit. We enjoyed running/hiking the beautiful trails (a few times through to get a good workout), lazing around on the back patio reading, and quiet naps. All of the staff was gracious and kind, and on the first day, brought us a special dessert for our anniversary. We saw many amazing insects and birds during our stay. The rooms are simply adorable, clean, though a bit darkly lit. We took full advantage of the cozy fireplace every night and enjoyed the jacuzzi tub.We ate almost exclusively at the restaurant which was delicious, and fairly reasonable, most entrees between $12-$26 USD. We also drove approximately two hours into Arenal and had an EXTREMELY CHALLENGING mountain bike ride around the volcano that left us exhausted. This resort was really ideal for a peaceful resting spot after our busy adventures. We didn't get a chance to check out the full size movie theatre or milk the cows in the morning, much to our regret, but we are hopeful we can return in a few years and have the same epic vacation. Phenomenal and highly recommend for child-free adults.

This was first place we stayed on our trip to Costa Rica and it was fantastic. It has beautiful surroundings and it’s a great place to walk and chill out. We had two full days here and totally enjoyed every minute. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Nick & Carol. Guernsey CI

We spent a weekend here with my wife. Arrived at around 7:30 pm and hungry. Upon arrival were welcomed by the concierge informing us that they could take our luggage and we could head directly to the restaurant. The restaurant is very nice with even better service. The ambiance is rustic, yet family oriented and gives you the feel of a much more expensive place. Mind you prices are mid-range, not low either. Hotel rooms are nicely decorated and bathroom and beds are very clean and cozy. There are space warmers for those cool nights up on the mountain. The day after, we had breakfast in a buffet format and had a nice hike in the trails. The properly has many trails with lots of wildlife to watch. Overall I reconfirmar this place 100%.

The resort is definitely off the well travelled road, but worth the drive. We were in the clouds while we were there. Nice hiking trail on property with place to watch hummingbirds feed. We took the off site quetzal hike with Katherine. She was very knowledgeable along with the property owner guide, we saw 4 males and a female. They were as excited as we were to see these magnificent birds. Cabins are nice with large shower, fire place and rocking chairs. Good bar and restaurant.

We enjoyed walking through the forest and seeing the diverse vegetation. Milking the cow, and feeding the calves was a treat. Antonio is a pro at teaching how! So nice to have a fire in the evening. We loved sitting on the little back porch and hearing all the nature sounds. It is quite out of the way, and very peaceful. The staff is very pleasant. Nils at the front desk is very helpful, and professional. Loved the milk, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream all produced on site. The restaurant is very good! loved the breakfast.

We spent one night at Villa Blanca last week. The cabins were very clean and comfortable. The staff was great! The food was very good. It is a great stop going from Caribbean side to Pacific side. There isn't a lot to do, so one night is enough. The countryside is beautiful.

We loved this place up in mountains. It abuts a nature reserve. Ask for Katherine to be your guide through the forest. She was great, explaining things in English but simultaneously in Spanish to help me practice the language.

A beautiful hotel in a remote location immaculately kept inside and out. Comfortable and clean individual cabins in the grounds with open fires. Best food and cocktails we had in Costa Rica and excellent service.
