I travel frequently for business and pleasure and it's rare to have a hotel experience with no cons. This is it. Literally everything from friendly security guard at the front door to the room itself were on point. Skyline views are amazing. AC is sharp and SILENT (very rare in SF even for luxury hotels). Loved the bed and quality bedding. Room was squeaky clean. Beautiful non irritating lighting options and 2 sets of window curtains to adjust amount of light. Everything is new and works as it should. This location is in one of the safer areas downtown. Metro stop is literally on same block. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

This one’s on me, I should have paid attention to the dimensions of the room before booking because it was way too small for 2 people. The common space on the third floor is fantastic. Staff was mostly great. Want to highlight Chris who worked the night shift. He was exceptional: professional and efficient and had a great spirit.

The staff at this hotel was lovely and welcoming. The room was clean and of good size for two people for a few nights. The hotel is a 10 min walk from Union Square, 3 min walk from transport. The only negative was having the sink in the bedroom.

It was my first time visiting San Francisco, and staying at citizenM turned out to be the best choice I could’ve made. The location is excellent — just steps from the subway (perfect for getting straight from the airport), one block from Trader Joe’s, and right by the first stop of the iconic cable car. The room itself was small but cozy, spotless, and designed with comfort in mind. The bed was very comfortable, and the blackout curtains made a huge difference for a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly, and the coffee was strong, just what I needed before heading out. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel if you plan on exploring the city all day and want a comfortable place to recharge at night.
