Wonderfully beautiful boutique property, absolutely loved the experience and balcony attached to the room. While we knew this was an older property, some of the bathroom fixtures had green rust build up and the carpet in the hallways smelled. However The open courtyard is amazing and the staff was genuinely nice and very helpful.

Too expensive, out of repair

Door key failed 6-7 times during the stay. Each time I would have to treck downstairs from the 4th floor to the front desk for yet another new door key (card), but why don’t you just go fix the door?? Also, the bathroom sink was so dinky that it was nonfunctionaland the bathroom fan was SO LOUD. For what you’re charging, fix that crap!

nice vintage hotel close to the Rady Shell which was where we went to see Alison Krauss and Union Station. We dined at Salt and Whisky, good food and friendly staff. The Cat Cafe across the street had great coffee in the morning, very convenient! The Valet parking team were great too!

I paid twice. My wife paid on March 31, 2025. Then my son and I were charged again. Please refund my money. Hair dryer did not work. Water did not drain well in the shower. Hotel needs a major remodel.

The Horton Grand has been my favorite San Diego Gaslamp hotel for over a decade! It’s convenient to Petco Park, the Convention Center, Seaport Village and of course the Gaslamp district. There’s always lots to do downtown and it’s nice to be able to walk to and from the hotel. The hotel is always clean and staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious enough with very comfy beds! Highly recommend!

Great experience

We had such an awesome experience here at the hotel. The place was so beautiful, our room was nice and had a fireplace. The staff was very friendly. We got water bottles upon arrival and some complimentary drink vouchers. We went upstairs to put our things down and went down for a drink. Our bartender was pleasant and helpful. Everything is very close by… within walking distance. The room was very affordable. Great overall experience for me. I definitely will be staying here next time I come to San Diego.
