Recent guest reviews

We recently stayed at this property. It is located half way between Portland, and the Oregon Coast so easy access in either direction. The staff at check in were very helpful, and we were able to upgrade our room for a fee. The room was okay, bathroom (bathtub was dirty appearing and also shower curtain). The towels were very thin, and the furniture in the room is dated. The bed was comfortable. Internet service is very very slow. Request a room on the top floor as you can hear everything especially running up the hallways. The breakfast was okay.

Adaquate facility, good bed but very noisy in room air conditioner kept waking us up. Breakfast room small and filled to capacity every morning. About a mile from the Evergreen museum, and a good location to visit wineries.

Price was right but a long distance from a large town. Traffic could be a problem if arriving or leaving at 5 PM. Very close to a major highway and Dundee is close. During late afternoons, there are traffic standstills.

Room quality not so great. Staff was nice and helpful.

Nice hotel in a beautiful area. Had a great day at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. If I had known how much there was to see there I would have planed to stay longer to see it all!

I would rather pay less tor the room than have the breakfast, which was poor quality. Staff was nice. Location was good.

We've stayed here several times now and have never been disappointed. Rooms are large, clean and quiet. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Location is great with a short, beautiful walk into town.

WENT TO MEET ME DAUGHTERS FOR A ONE NIGHT VISIT. THE BREAKFAST LEFT SOMETHING TO BE DESIRED AND THE STAFF WAS JUST OKAY. I THINK IT WAS CLEAN ENOUGH AND I GOT A GOOD DEAL THROUGH

I was traveling for work and the Red Lion was in a perfect location for accessing work and other nearby resources I needed for my tasks. I will be returning to McMinnville and I'm glad I took a chance on this place. The staff were exceptionally helpful.

hotel was quiet, staff was nice and quick on wanting to help out with any questions or problems.

I arrived at 9:00pm and went to my room. I found a great discount and got 2 doubles and a hide a bed, even though I was traveling alone, the price was too good to pass up! Well. the room was as cold as a meat locker and i could see my breath! I turned on the heat which had accidentally been left on cool. I realized there was no way this room would heat up before bedtime. I went down to the front desk and they immediately changed my room to an identical room. This room was warm and cozy! Great service!

Our experience was good. The TV was quirky and not all channels available that we're used to, but okay. Nice room in good condition, comfortable beds. Love having the fridge and microwave in the room. We would stay again.

We were pleased with our stay. Desk attendant was very friendly. Room was clean. I like a firm mattress, so didnt sleep well. My husband did however as he likes softer mattress!

the hotel met all my needs, it was clean and the staff was very polite and professional. The breakfast was average but also met my needs.

Pros: Fantastic place to stay with kids. 10 min drive to downtown and Linfield College which is primary reason for trip. Location is quiet, clean, and friendly. Rooms are huge very kid and pet friendly. The pool was fun, temperature was perfect. Cons: Stay on the top floor if you're sensitive to heavy footsteps. Woke up to what seemed like a small army of men jumping for cover but most likely small tots. Breakfast is bland but does offer more than just muffins.

We have a wonderful time. We definitely going back. the kids enjoy the indoor pool and I enjoy the spa.

The Motel was kept clean and in great shape. The pool and exercise area was very nice. It was in a good location for my activities. The staff was very helpful, polite, and professional. They had a wide assortment of breakfast items.

Staff was exceptional and greeted me along with other guests that were coming and going. The room was quiet, clean and well equiped. The only minor issue was NBC was not available on the TV.

Very good, not a lot of people, Fair weather. I'll go back. Close to every thing in town. Love the air museum.

We rented two rooms for three ladies at this hotel. We were there to hit the wineries for tastings and enjoy the awesome local restaurants. We found McMinnville a perfect jumping off point to access all of wine country. It was very centrally located and this hotel is right on the main highway that runs through all the wine towns. Downtown McMinnville itself was our favorite town in the area. It has an old, tree shaded downtown. The old buildings are filled with restaurants, tasting rooms, bookstores and business meant to serve locals. It was extremely charming while still offering the exotic flair of the wine country. The hotel itself is quaint and simple but clean. The front desk ladies were extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing I could complain about was that our safe didn't even have a door on it! Other than that it fit the bill for a great place to stay at a good price.

Traffic can be a bit of a pickle during peak travel times. They are currently working on Hwy 99W to make it better for travelers. Hwy 47 is an alternate route to get to McMinnville from Portland. We are happy to hear you were pleased with the hotel. We look forward to seeing you again!
