Sitting near a relaxing running creek, in a quiet neighborhood, and among multiple 50’ pines, you will experience many of nature’s greatest gifts such as deer, Abert squirrels, foxes, and on some occasions, bears and mountain lions.

A full kitchen with most needed cooking items, a tv with streaming apps, a DVD player with movies, and multiple games are just some of the features that await you on the inside. Depending on the time of the year you visit, you may experience the natural water slides at San Isabel (15 minutes away), Hollydot Golf Course (15 minutes away) World Famous Bishop’s Castle (25 minutes away) beautiful San Isabel Lake 20 minutes away) and numerous hiking trails all around.

If you are visiting during the summer season, you are able to Kayak or fish at beautiful San Isabel Lake, go sliding down the natural water slide, hike the trails, BBQ on the patio, play cornhole, ride bikes (we have 6 bikes of assorted sizes) golf at Hollydot Golf Course, or relax in the hammock while listening to the relaxing sound of the creek 20 feet away. If you are visiting during the winter season, you are able to enjoy a nice day on San Isabel Lake ice fishing, experience many miles of trials of snowshoeing, and laugh while sledding at San Isabel or down Linger Longer Lane, all while coming back to the warm crackling fireplace waiting for you, or if you are looking to escape while still having to work, connect to our wifi and sit by the creek and get the best of both worlds.

The charge is per stay with a maximum of 7 guests. (10 with a reservation of The Cub Cave). Please note: stay is per night, not per person. Please provide an accurate guest count to allow hosts leave enough linens for everyone.

We had such a great stay here! We brought our toddlers along, and the cabin ended up being a perfect fit for our family. It’s tucked away in a beautiful wooded setting on a calm, quiet street, which made it incredibly relaxing from the moment we arrived. The cabin itself is fun and cozy, and the nearby stream was a really nice touch—we loved spending time just listening to the water and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The bunk beds worked out perfectly for our setup, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals comfortably. The hosts were wonderful to work with—communicative, accommodating, and clearly thoughtful about the guest experience.Overall, this was just a great place to unwind and spend quality time together. We would absolutely come back again. Thank you for sharing your wonderful Sasquatch house with us!

The cabin is adorable and has a rustic, cozy feel- as advertised. The hosts are remarkably thoughtful, attending to details everywhere around you. The kitchen had everything we needed. The hosts also had items for smores, hot cocoa, coffee, brand new toothbrushes, floss, all kinds of thoughtful additions. It seems very dog friendly and kid-friendly though we had an older teen and young adult with us and (sadly) no dog. There are games and instructions on using the large tv. Firewood was plentiful and neatly stacked. Indoor fireplace and outdoor firepits were readied for us. Even the string lights outside add an element of fun and thoughtfulness - which we enjoyed on the picnic table beside the creek. Some great hiking is not far away too. Hosts had information out on nearby hikes and places to visit and greeted us with a lovely handwritten note on a postcard with pictures of the cabin. Everything seemed very neat and clean and comfortable. We were so very impressed with how incredibly thoughtful the hosts are and how many small details they'd thought of in their most gracious hospitality. We enjoyed our stay and would love to go back!
Backyard space. Peaceful, relaxing, sound of the creek greeting you. Benches and picnic table even closer to the creek.

Such a cozy stay in the winter! Waking distance to Rye Mountain Park which has a fun little disc golf course. Couldn't ask for a better trip and it was able to fit 10 of us without feeling too cramped. The hosts (Cara and Jerry) were very very accommodating to the group and keep the place in great shape.

The kitchen was good, had supplies to use, the bathroom was very nice. Perfect cabin how my husband and daughters imagined it would be. Spent New Years Eve and Day there and it was so great! We didn't want to leave. Made some happy memories! Our first time through Vrbo and it went smoothly. Thank you! Highly recommend it was fabulous!!!

I have rented quite a few vacations with vrbo, but this one was by far my favorite! Beautiful cabin, quiet neighborhood and decorated so cute and cozy! I dont know who loved the fire place more, me or my kids but it definitely came in handy on our last day when we got lots of snow! Overall, place was amazing, and made lots of memories! Host is amazing and quick to answer any questions or concerns we had. Thank you for having us!

The house was quaint. Very rustic and cozy like a true cabin. We came in December. Perfect for a family of 4-5. Hosts have thought of everything you might need for meals or tv. We loved hunting for all the bigfoots on the property. They even have a lovely creek behind the house. We found it far too small for us however because we have a family of 8. My daughter and son had to sleep in the separate cabin behind the main house. This is not how the listing is advertised. It says it sleeps 10 - 3 bedroom/1 bath but the 3rd bedroom is technically outside in a storage shed. Not ideal. We have 6 kids ages 2-20. I don’t know what we would have done if our kids weren’t old enough to sleep alone. Otherwise, we enjoyed the area of Rye and Canon City. We were able to visit the Royal Gorge Bridge as well as do some sledding at Lake Isabel.

Just what we were looking for as a quick getaway from the city. Quiet neighborhood nestled among the trees. Easy access to trail, fishing, bishops castle. Family and pet friendly. Very clean and nicely decorated for the season. Lots of choices for board games and movies for cooler evenings by the fireplace. Great hosts, easy check in/checkout. Everything was ready to go. Loved the outdoor space and options for fire pits under the cozy lights or down by the creek. Would absolutely stay again.
