I stayed here for 2 nights with a cosmos tour. The greeting staff were professional if not overly friendly. The hotel is old & needs renovation but that could be said for almost all hotels in Italy. The architecture is very Italian & the rooms are filled with art works & beautiful furniture. There is a park within the grounds which is a peaceful place to catch one's breath. The bar is excellent & especially the outdoor patio. The barman is a true gentleman. I am sorry I did not get your name but I appreciated your warmth & humour. I was given a twin room which was small compared to other guests. Perhaps this is a matter for Cosmos. The tub/shower combo had steep sides & a plexiglass screen which makes access difficult for anyone with even minor mobility issues. Amenities consisted of 2 shampoo containers. However, the shower was good & the towels were large. There were no tissues, only 2 hangers in the closet & no coffee making facilities. There was an empty mini fridge. It was warm so turned on the aircon but got only warm air. I found out the next day that it had been turned off for the year. Luckily the window opened. Breakfast was very ordinary with no hot food on offer. There was little choice for someone who does not eat cold meat & cheese at 0700. Dinner was quite good but expensive. I was charged extra for bread. Wine is very expensive. I was safe & comfortable which are my basic criteria but my future choice would be to stay closer to the city & pay a bit more.
words are not enough to describe our time in Green park hotel, it was our first time in Rome, we were welcomed very warmly by the friendly staff who are always wearing their smiles on their faces, they helped us in many ways during our days, they were always ready to help no matter what the request is . adding to all that after leaving to Sweden , when we wanted to book online and pay the cash later , they arranged it for us easily without hesitation. The hotel location is also close from Vatican and the taxi doesn't cost much which is also a privilege and that Royal amazing breakfast is unforgettable . only thing we suggest is that, this hotel is a peace of art and has many areas to explore, so it would be nice if there is an induction for the guests (ex. we new there is a chapel in the last day of our stay). thank you to everyone in green park hotel who made our vacation memorable. (special thanks to one of the amazing staff with that heavenly voice (Enriquo) :) . we will definitely come back . keep up the good work. Best Mary Sabri
We stayed at this hotel set back about 400 metres from the main road where it was so peaceful compared to staying in the city. Whilst we did eat in the hotel I can recommend you to walk to the main road & first building on your left is a great Chinese Restaurant. Just wish I'd found it on the first night
The reception staff were professional. The wait staff always greeted me in a friendly manner in the restaurant and were only too happy to assist with the menu. A special thanks to my lovely waiter "Roberto ". The hotel was very clean, quiet and it is a short walk to the main township.
First sight of Rome excellent. Rooms good. Staff good. Bar staff excellent. Facility great. Bit of a walk to train station. Bus service nearby. Restaurants just up the road are excellent. Great waiters and service.
We stayed two nights in room 102 room was clean it had a tv from the 80’s no flat screen. Shower was nosey. The gap between the loo and the shower was small had one knee on the shower door. Breakfast was ok. Staff very helpful.
We stayed here only one night on our last night there in Rome. The room was spacious but had absolutely no plugs in the rooms. We had to move the desk and unplug the refrigerator in order to charge our phones. There was one plug in the bathroom but it did not work and was broken and recessed into the wall. The air conditioner was on full blast and did not work. Unfortunately it was very hot that night. The room itself was clean and spacious. If we had to stay more than one night I would have asked to be moved to another room with working air and outlets. It was late at night and we were tired and cranky when we checked in so that could play part in our impression of this hotel. The view outside our window was very nice and you could hear the birds. Very peaceful. The breakfast buffet was very nice and had a good selection. Overall would have been a nice stay if not for the air/outlet issues we had.
I admit bias in that we prefer hotels that are fairly centrally located, but this was our tour company's choice and to a budget. This hotel is in a residential suburb a fair way out and about a 15-minute walk from the metro. There seem to be few restaurants or shops nearby to choose from. Our room was shabby but clean and the bed was comfy. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was pleasant.
The hotel was pretty old and you can tell! The neighborhood it is not the best in Rome. The hotel is really close to Vatican but away from the other sights. Thus there is metro station near the hotel. The people working there were very polite and helpfull! Also the food and the breakfast were very good!
We recently stayed in this hotel for 7nights. It was homely, comfortable and the staff made our stay memorable. The reception staff, the restaurant staff and the bar staff were excellent in making us feel like a guest. It is located 15 minutes walk from the Metro which will take you to most of the tourist attractions. We give a ten out of ten for our stay. Recommend this hotel for a stay in Rome. It is out of the city so is quieter than those in the city but is not too far to visit the must see architecture.
