Our 2nd stay and likely not the last one. The place has kept the wonderful atmosphere of a convent. Nice and quiet rooms, a generous breakfast buffet in the morning and a decorated slow food restaurant if you don't feel like going out in the evening. Friendly and helpful staff. The beach is a few steps away - literally - with no street to cross. The train station is a 15-20 minutes walk away (or a short taxi ride) and there are multiple trains to and from Rome during the whole day. Unique archaeological sites with Etruscan tombs in Cerveteri and Tarquinia are reachable by car (30-60').
On arrival to the hotel we couldn't get past the barrier because there was no one at reception. In fact there was no one anywhere! We had to hunt the receptionist down to let us in and it felt like she was running the place on her own. Later we went for a drink at the bar, but it was closed. We asked if the restaurant would be open, they said maybe?? Felt like an abandoned motel more than a 4 star hotel! Saying that, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the view of the sea was nice. Breakfast was extremely basic and the coffee was from a machine. Not nice at all. Wouldn't return.
I booked this "hotel" because It was represented to be near the Fiumincino (Rome) airport. First it is an old style motel compound built in a large rectangle with all rooms facing the opposite wall of the rather large interior grass area. You cannot drive your car to the room which is inconvenient with luggage. The facility will drive you to your room in a large golf cart that has a back platform for luggage. One of our bags departed the golf cart early. It is 20 miles from the airport, a drive that will take you all of 25 to 30 minutes at 3 a.m. an no traffic. The room was fine with outdated décor. It is on the sea.
Worth the price nothing special but clean and nice location right on the beach nice staff close to the airport plenty of restaurants within walking distance walls are a little thin but good value for the price
We spent one night - the room was spacious, clean and quiet. Few meters from the room was the beach with umbrellas. Beautiful garden with statues. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean bathroom. We wish we could've stayed more. Good location - close to Rome and on the way to the port Civitavecchia.
My family was staying at Alle Tamerici hotel for a 6 nights. Hotel staff is very friendly. Private beach is very clean with umbrellas and chairs available at request. A restaurant has a fine dining menu for a dinner and varieties of items for a breakfast. A room has been cleaned daily. An air conditioner is a very useful feature. Park and pool are very clean.
We stayed here our last night in Italy for the close proximity to the airport. Took approx 20 to 30 min to get to airport with no traffic issues. Hotel was all one level, rooms entrance from the outside. Room was large and comfortable. Sky tv available. Free WiFi, parking and breakfast. Parking was secured. Picture a little deceiving. Hotel not quite that close to beach and the sand is black. It was beautiful! Several restaurants within walking distance. Complimentary breakfast was excellent and hotel restaurant was excellent for dinner.
My wife and I stayed here during the off season in order to get out of the noise and costs of Rome itself. We had a wonderful stay and used this hotel as a place to see central Italy from. The staff was by far the best part of the hotel. They were always friendly and quickly learned us by sight and name. Coming and going from the hotel was accompanied by a friendly wave and a quick chat about what sights we had seen that day. The rooms were extremely clean and the staff brought breakfast to the room every morning on the days when there weren't many guests in the hotel. This may change during the tourist season but we enjoyed it. The hotel was very quiet with one gated entrance that kept it separated from the rest of the community walking along the beach. This also ensured that our car had a close parking place (which was free) and let us sleep easier knowing no one was around our car (we saw other cars vandalized elsewhere in Ladispoli, but not in the hotel). The quiet of the hotel's sleep was broken on the weekend by a club in the vicinity which we could hear if we left the windows open (which we preferred to A/C). But there's nothing the hotel can do about that. Most nights we fell asleep just listening to the waves crash on the shore. The room did have free Wi-fi in it which was password protected and available throughout the grounds. Because it was the off season, we weren't there to use the beach, or the pool, and we didn't care to watch TV (there is a flat-screen, but it is small). However, for the goal of having a quiet, friendly, secure place to stay that had views of the sea within 45 minutes of Rome and a number of other attractions in central Italy, this hotel was fantastic.
This place is no 4 star hotel.the reception is isolated from the main rooms and it lacks many of the facilities i would expect in a 4 star hotel. There are towering religous statues in the grounds and the main room is dominated by a large crucifix and a statue of a madonna and child on the roof. There was also a religous picture on the bedroom wall. The dining room is austere and the bar in a tiny section of is laughable. These rooms were locked when not in use. there was no welcome, and in the bedroom rather than a welcome brochure with hotel facilities detailed, there was an INSTRUCTION MANUAL ( not a joke) and every instruction commenced with the order DO NOT------ . The online picture on its web site shows a picture which seems to show a blue sea lapping a golden beach where the garden runs down to the edge. It is in fact a carefully staged picture of part of the swimming pool and the concrete edge of it in the middle of the garden. The seashore of black sand is just as depressing as the hotel. We had booked and paid for a two night stay but departed early after the first night and were glad to escape back to rome and normality.
Booked at this nice little resort for our last night in Italy due to its location on the beach in Ladsipoli and proximity to Fiumicino airport. Beach access was great, staff was very friendly...and then we tried to go to sleep. Bed was hard as a brick, and actually wasn't one bed. Once you lay down you realize it is two beds pushed together. The bed also had no box spring, literally just springs in a metal frame. No padding whatsoever. Floor may have been more comfortable. Added to that the AC didn't work which might have been a good thing since the blanket on the bed was paper thin. Hot, humid, and uncomfortable stay. Next time will most definitely stay somewhere else. No sleep makes for a painful flight home.
