Comfort Suites Rock Hill2.5 out of 5.0

I stayed in the Comfort Suites/Rock Hill for a few nights due to being positioned as an evacuee from Hurricane Irma. It was a difficult time and even more difficult to locate a hotel which accepted dogs. I had luck on my side though when I called the hotel and Faye Greco handled the reservations, stay and questions in regards to the area in an extremely professional and calm manner. I also witnessed Faye working with other 'evacuees' and while maintaining her positive and professional manner was able to help each and every person during this difficult time. This is the reason I am giving an 'excellent' rating since paramount employees like Faye are few and far between. Keith
from the strong smell of cleaning solution in the lobby, to the horrible peeling paint in the bathroom, to the ants around the pool, not a place I would recommend. also breakfast was barely adequate. Room was clean and the staff OK, but not at all what I expected from Comfort suites. fortunately it was only a stop over, so in and out quickly. Had never stayed in Rock Hill before so I selected by brand as we have had good experiences with the brand, but were very disappointed
We always stay in Rock Hill on our way to vacation, and depending on what time we roll in, have stayed at the Hilton Garden and the Super 8. This hotel is a very firm step up from the Super 8, and considering the price difference from the HG, a very excellent value! The room was clean, though it could use a bit of maintenance and fresh paint, it was very comfortable. The couch folds out to a bed, there were plenty of pillows, the toiletries were actually nice, and the indoor pool is quite a bonus. The breakfast is standard continental with a waffle maker, and it was well stocked and quite clean. We had a great stay and will be back.
We stopped for a night traveling between PA and FL. We picked the hotel mainly based off of positive Trip Advisor reviews, but were severely disappointed when we found a dirty/ stained sheet waiting for us. There were also small, black, curly hairs on and around the pillows. Not a big deal but the battery cover was also missing on the tv remote. You expect these things from a roach motel off of the interstate where you pay $60 per night but this hotel is more than twice that. On a plus note, the woman working the front desk was very pleasant. The location is great, but unless management can explain how dirty sheets got in the mix, I would recommend looking at the numerous other hotels nearby.
We stayed here in July 4th. We had two double beds. The room was clean with just the usual scuff marks on the walls. It was nice. Then we stayed July 14. The first thing we noticed when we walked in is that the room smelled like an ash tray. My husband remarked that it smelled like a bowling alley. I double checked to make sure that it was a non smoking room which it was according to the sign on the door. We had a king room which was nice. But the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. The sink was missing the drain plug. I found a pill on the floor of the bathroom. The marble on the floor in the doorway was filthy in the corners. The bathroom mirror was dirty. There was tape on the ceiling over the tv. The light fixture on the ceiling was filthy. There were some weird brown stains on the walls in the bedroom. The frosted glass doors that separated the bedroom from the rest of the room were dirty. The curtains were pulled off the rod and didn't close properly. It was a very different experience the second time around.
Rooms are very clean, but small. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast is free and was like any breakfast in a hotel...Lacking. It was a great hotel but was a little hard to get in and out of with the traffic in the area around rush hour.
Very clean and nice. We would definitely recommend it. Breakfast was free and good. The pool is a good size too. Staff was very polite and helpful. Our family had two rooms and both were nice. Great way to start our vacation.
The room was clean and staff friendly. Free Breakfast was fairly good, usual selection of cereals, breads, eggs and sausage, waffle maker, fruits and juice. I have stayed at this location several times over the past few years. Hotel is starting to show some need of routine maintenance inside and out. Pool area was clean but very strong odor of chemicals made it tough to stay in there more than a few minutes. All in all, your average stay for a long weekend on the road.
Rooms are very nice and updated. Very pet friendly, super welcoming to my 100 pound dog. Pool was really nice but small, hot tub wasn't working though. Hotel seemed safe. Was very close to amenities, easy access to the interstate. Great service, very friendly.
easy access on/off I-77 Exit 79 (Dale Lyle Blvd) in Rock Hill SC lots of shopping, restaurants, gas stations nearby hotel was clean, staff was friendly, room was clean no issues with anything would stay here again if in the area again
