I cannot fault this hotel. I have rated it excellent. We went to 5 hotels and this was my top choice. The rooms were good and he staff were good and knowledgeable. You need people who knw about buses and restaurants
We organised a meeting here. Yannic was the person I dealt with and he was amazing. I deal with a lot of Hotels and events people in the Hotels and he was one of the best I have come across. Really professional and helpful. He needs a payrise! My colleagues were really happy with the event.
Our stay at this Crowne Plaza was a breath of fresh air after German country hotels that failed to provide a fridge in the room or much needed air conditioning. The staff were most helpful and were keen to help us in any possible way. Breakfast was fresh, with plenty of variety and excellent quality. Parking is available on site for a reasonable charge. The staff went to great lengths to explain maps and the public transport system. Information from the front desk would surpass most tourist offices. A definite choice during summer when air conditioning is vital in Heidelberg.
Hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from the start of the Hauptstrasse (pedestrian shopping street), and a few blocks from the main train station. Prices are on the high side for Heidelberg but the property is nice. Staff speaks English; printed materials in the room are in both German and English. Nice pool/hot tub; also a sauna (which I did not use). The restaurant prices for breakfast and dinner were a little high if you are not on an expense account; however, there are many restaurants in the vicinity. Rooms are air conditioned, free Wi-Fi. Would stay here again.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking for a fee. Walking distance to the market area and shops, plus lots of restaurants. I ask for the booking.com rate - which they gave me but it put us above the kitchen and was a bit noisey early morning. Otherwise place was quiet. Beds firm but comfy, great shower. Entire property very clean.
This hotel is in a terrific location in the city centre however our room was above the smoking area, all night we where awoken by voices, laughter and arguing by smokers below on the street. The bed was rock hard and very flat pillows. Our breakfast was great we only stayed one night before our group moved on to another region.
My husband was in the area on business so I had the opportunity to visit Germany as well. Paying the extra fees for the breakfast every day and the lounge access was very worth it. The breakfast buffet was extensive and the lounge's beer and and snacks were appreciated after an afternoon of sightseeing in Heidelberg (or in my husband's case, working!) The room itself was nice and had a pretty view of a nearby hill. The bed was a little bit snug, but very comfortable. If you don't want to eat at the hotel restaurant, there are a number of eateries within a short walk, and only about a 15 minute walk to Old Town which has many interesting shops, eateries, and beer halls. It's located only a few blocks from the train station and the Lufthansa airport shuttle from FRA drops you off at the back of the hotel. If I ever find myself in Heidelberg again, I can't imagine staying anywhere else!
This is a very nice hotel in the city center of Heidelberg, Germany. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The included breakfast bar was outstanding with all the best of German cuisine, good coffee, and an abundant variety of foods.
We spent one night in this hotel and our experience was very good . Rooms were big and very pleasant, staff was very helpful and the location is very close to the old town center. Price was very reasonable I surely recommend
This is my second time staying at this hotel. I've chosen to return primarily due to its prime location in the center of town, as well as its comfortable rooms. This time, the front desk staff was super friendly and professional, and again I appreciated the "pillow menu" which allowed us to choose a few special pillows that were promptly delivered by housekeeping after placing the request by phone. I would certainly come back again in the future.
