So Unfortunate

The condo was great! Had another great stay in RP. We have stayed here often. We checked out on the 10th of September and on the 15th I received an email that I was being charged $200 for TV damage. I don't even know what TV was in the picture as we only used the one in the living room. The others didnt work nor did we care. I have called all the numbers in the email leaving messages for a call back. Ive even sent emails asking for clarification. No one has called me back. I'd gladly change this review is someone would contact me and make this right. We would never damage and leave a property! Our renting history is exemplar!

One of the best condos for location

We stayed here with our older kids. This unit is in the best location for easy access and an excellent view of the whole resort plus beach. It made it easy to keep track of our family members. It had small but full kitchen with toaster, blender and fresh water dispenser that you can get refilled as needed from front desk. Also had a couple beach chairs and boogie boards. This was our first time at Sonoran Spa. It had a nice tranquil family friendly atmosphere. We loved that they had tennis/pickleball courts, a heated pool, non heated pool and 2 jacuzzis. I liked the retaining wall that gives you perfect beach views without having to deal with the sand. I also loved that there is an on site mini market and several shops, pharmacy, and restaurants directly behind the resort so you don’t have to go into town. The Sonoran Grille on site was really good! I would definitely stay here again.

Nice condo, great complex

Generally, a great place. Great view and nicely furnished though some of the furniture is frayed and worn. Pool and hot tub areas are wonderful. Kitchen is nicely equipped and cooking was easy. Would like to have had salt, pepper, coffee, sugar and creamer in the condo at arrival so we didn’t have to go shopping immediately. Only problem we had was the house toilet needed frequent plunging. Puerto Penasco was not as interesting as we'd thought.

Views, views and views

Pool views and beach front views all day from all living areas inside corner unit in East bldg. Sunsets from the patio and the dining area patio doors every night. Convenience store and restaurant located in bldg. directly behind you. Just short Walk down a flight of stairs and onto walkways to all locations. Security guards and other personnel were visible all day every day. A few other restaurants located just walking distance on road leading to resort. Lots and lots of storage in condo. We couldn’t locate the password for wi-fi so emailed property mgmt. they never responded but we eventually found it in a binder. Otherwise we had no issues with Wi-Fi but we didn’t do business. Maintenance needed due to broken floor tiles etc. Bed was very soft. Comfortable for me but not so much for my husband but we only slept in the master. Both Bathrooms were very nice once we figured out how to turn on the shower. :). First time at Rocky Point and We had a very nice and relaxing week. Thought it might be cold since highs were forecast at 71 most of the week but only the nights and early mornings were cool. The days were beautiful.

Great Resort and room!

Easy check in process. Great communication with the host. Unit is good for up to 7 people. Unit is in a great location - second floor next to stairs, elevator, pool and close to front desk and gym. Really good security. Walking distance to American Mex restaurants. Only had to drive 2 miles for authentic Mexican food. I will stay here again.

Disappointing!

The property was very clean however not updated. We typically stay at Las Palomas and ALWAYS have a great experience. The room at Sonoran Spa was old and looked to have NEVER been updated EVER! If your looking for a Spa experience this is not the place, will not be staying here again!

Better than the pictures

I was so impressed with how big this condo was and the location was perfect. Pictures don't do it justice. Beautiful views of the beach, pool, and walking distance to restaurants and ATV rentals. Felt extremely safe with the 24 security guards. Would definitely rent again! Thank you for having us.

Great option

Came here with a few friends. Really good place for a group of 6 or more. Loved that there was three bedrooms, two with good sized beds, and one with the two double beds. Only downside is you’re right next to the pool and the security guards get a little crazy. Felt like they were watching us really closely just because we were visible, not because we did anything wrong. Still would recommend this place, although the resort overall isn’t as nice as some others, it’s still a good option.

Awesome resort and amenities

The Sonoran Spa is located on Sandy Beach and has one of the best locations. You have multiple dining choices within walking distance from the resort. Our family of 7 had a wonderful time and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
