This is our second stay in The Magnificent Starfish. To say it’s perfect is an understatement. It’s our home away from home. We love coming here just to destress from life in the concrete jungle for a long weekend. The house is pristine, welcoming and just feels like home. The beach is clean, quiet and safe. And the neighbors are gems, some of the friendliest, most helpful people you could meet. We don’t even consider other options anymore, if the Starfish isn’t available, we just change our dates and book when it is.

Wonderful Place, Wonderful Property

We had a fantastic stay. The home was beautiful, plenty of room, and an amazing porch that wraps around the house. You can see the sunrise in the front, and the sunset at the back. The lawn is well maintained, so there aren't hiding places for those awful bird sized mosquitos that call the area home, we hardly saw any in our week there. The beach is less than a stones throw away, and is essentially private in front of the house - there is about a 50 yard span between where our family and the neighbors would set up. The hosts were absolutely great, and incredibly responsive, excellent service with any questions we had. I certainly plan to return, and am beyond sad to have to depart.

Perfect beach home

This is our 2nd stay at the Magnificent Starfish for our girl’s beach trip. Location is perfect, literally steps from the beach. The home has everything you need and plenty of space. We had a couple of minor issues. The host was easily reached and issues taken care of promptly. Can’t wait to book our next long weekend !

Beautiful, calm and relaxing

We had a perfect stay. The property is absolutely amazing and the outside areas were perfect. Having a quick rinse shower right when you get off the beach was great and the cargo lift made bringing our belongings in and out super easy. It was also a blessing for our mobility impaired senior dog. The high speed EV charger was super convenient and easy to use. Inside, the home is beautiful, spotlessly clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The home’s layout allows privacy for everyone and never feels crowded. The neighbors are very outgoing and pleasant so you feel like you belong there, not like an outsider. The beach was clean and had so many beautiful shells and sea glass. Our son had a fantastic time exploring. There weren’t many people, so it was quiet and never crowded. We can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing House

We loved this house so much! We were able to do fireworks on the beach, see our tent in front of the house on the beach and leave it there. Our dogs LOVED it. We have an older dog and the cargo lift helped so much!

Wonderful and relaxing!

We came for a slow down, hang out girls weekend and got just that!! The house was perfect! Plenty of space for all 6 of us, the elevator to haul your stuff up was amazing and the kitchen had everything we needed and more! Would definitely stay here again!

A cold, but relaxing, week at the beach

We enjoyed our week on Bolivar. We didn't get to enjoy sitting out on the deck because of the cold, but inside was nice & toasty. Management was quick to answer when we called about using the cargo lift. Thank goodness for the lift as the stairs were many! They were quick to respond to the icy stairs issue one day. Our dogs especially thank you! The house was clean & well stocked. Furniture was comfortable, as were the beds. We will be back when it's a little warmer!

Wonderful rental that is very well equipped.

I would have given 5 stars, but there were maintenance problems that could have been easily fixed: kitchen cupboard door fell off; spice cabinet wouldn't close; one shower not usable because of calcified head. VCR remote couldn't be found during Inet outage. Otherwise as clise to perfect as possible!

Great property!

We searched for a pet friendly rental with 2 kings directly on the beach with access for UTV. This place had all that and so much more! 3 roomy bedrooms and bathrooms, a large open concept living, dining, kitchen area, a large deck and a nice area underneath with plenty of seating. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back soon!

Awesome getaway

The house was wonderful! It had everything we needed for our stay. The beach was beautiful! The deck had enough seating and tables for us to enjoy the sun! This was a birthday gift for my mom and she loved it! Would definitely stay here again! Five stars isn’t enough in my book!
