Hikers Nest At Pilot Mountain

Experience mountain cottage living in a stunningly restored 1950’s home! A bright, comfortable base to call home while you explore Pilot Mountain State Park, Mount Airy, (home of Mayberry from the famous Andy Griffith Show), Hanging Rock State Park, romantic wineries, and life in a mountain town. Climbing, hiking, biking, and horse riding abound in this area. A perfect stay for a romantic getaway or a friends vacation.

Located four minutes from Pilot Mountain State Park and the iconic geologic knob that serves as a beacon, inviting outdoor enthusiasts to a vast array of activities. Hiking, biking, sightseeing, are the gems that our neighborhood has to offer!

Mount Airy is a mere 20 minute drive. The home of the Andy Griffith Show, offers the nostalgia and history of the beloved Mayberry.

It is 25 minutes to Hanging Rock State Park which offers breathtaking views, hiking, biking, waterfalls, swimming, canoeing, and a museum of the history of our area.

In less than 5 minutes you will be enjoying a glass of wine at Pilot Mountain Vineyards with a spectacular view of Pilot Mountain.

Pilot Knob Park Country Club Golf Course is less than 10 minutes away and is open to the public.

The historical Horne Creek Farm enables visitors to experience farm life in North Carolina's NW Piedmont circa 1900. It is less than 10 minutes away.

Pinnacle still has a working railroad so you are likely to hear a train whistle!

This area is the perfect place for bicycle training! You will most likely see cyclists training for their next race.

Wonderful place to stay

This house was very clean and was in a great location for surrounding attractions. We stayed 4 nights and was not ready to leave because we felt very comfortable at this property. We will definitely be visiting the property again. The property manager was very responsive with any questions and things we needed to know before arrival.
