Pros: -Friendly front desk -Big, spacious room (1br suite top floor paid extra to be there) -Free shuttle to PC on the hour with courteous drivers Cons: -Verrrrry thin walls and windows - was awoken at 4:30 am every morning for a week by outside vehicle noise (trucks/construction vehicles) -Hit and miss concierge info How good can the vacation be if you can’t sleep at night? I dreaded going to sleep each night because I knew I’d be woken up by vehicles/conversations at 4:30 each morning. The windows and walls were ridiculously thin. I was on the fourth floor and could hear every word of conversations outside my window (pickups for excursions) Why didn’t I move rooms? I actually had two rooms. The other was in the back building. Quieter, right? Nope. Could hear every word of conversations on either side of that room. I bought earplugs the last three nights and still heard the vehicles. Front desk is aware of this and acknowledged that I was far from the first person to bring this up. Hilton, I know you bought his property from another entity as it stood. With all the dues the members pay (myself included) can you please consider doing a bit of soundproofing on the walls and windows? I don’t expect perfection or no noise while at a hotel - far from it. However, sleeping is important and a basic expectation and was not possible after 4:30am for six mornings straight.
Outstanding staff and service! I was impressed with the smiles and the attitude of everyone I came in contact with. The gents at the door were all on point. Cameron and Tres were some of the names I recall but they were always available and helpful with local recommendations. Cynthia checked me in and was equally welcoming. It’s sets the tone for your stay. We were there 8 nights over Christmas. The property is clean and well maintained. I had one minor challenge with an outside vendor and Jordan the Front Office Manager took ownership of it and even got his general manager involved who personally reach out to me to make sure there was resolution and follow up. I loved the complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and tea, it’s a small thing but very nice that it’s available all day. I stayed in a studio with my 16 year old son and it was a little tight but had a nice view, balcony, fireplace, mini fridge and stove top. Next time I would go for more space but it was certainly larger and better equipped than a hotel room. My compliments to the leadership, the staff was great and the genuine hospitality was refreshing!
Updated and clean lodge. This is a great family place. Hot tubs and pool are nice. There is complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby that is great in the morning and after skiing. Covered parking is helpful. Housekeeping service is excellent and friendly. 2 negatives I can think of are infrequent shuttle service and location. Although it is walking distance to canyons mountain, canyons gets the worse snow of the resorts in the area. However it is not difficult to drive to other resorts.
Came to this resort on business the staff was terrible to deal with. This was the cheapest room in town and they acted like they were only for high class members. I had to argue with the staff just to check my reservation
My experience checking in was disappointing. I was not greeted as a Club Member. The older gentleman checking me in seemed like he didn’t really know what he was doing or was new. I don’t recall his name, but I checked in on Wednesday 12/13 around 6pm. His nametag said he was from San Diego. Being that I am also from San Diego I attempted to make small talk – he didn’t really converse with me much and seemed quite bothered. I had called in a few weeks before to ensure that I had a 2 bedroom plus suite with a king and two queens, the lady I spoke to over the phone assured me that she had listed it in my reservation. When I checked in, the front desk person said that he only had a room with two king beds. After I had told him that I had asked for a king and two queens, he quickly called the manager on duty who wasn’t much help either. All he said was “this is all we have”. When I asked if he had a rollaway bed, he offered to give me extra bedding as if that would make up for the lack of a bed and told me most people “make beds out of couch cushions”. I reluctantly agreed to take room and when walking in to the room realized it was an ADA/handicap accessible room. Neither of that was stated when I checked in. I was really disappointed in the accommodations based on the reservation I had made for 6 adults.
We have been club members since 1998 and have always been pleased with the resorts and quality of room or suite. A first class getaway always. I appreciate that when I choose to sit in on a presentation, it is never pushing me to upgrade or purchase anything additional.
Note, I stayed here as an HGVC member in a one bedroom Premier Suite Clean, comfortable lodge for skiing Park City. Spacious living / kitchen/dining area (full size dining table for 6) with fireplace in the bedroom as well as the living room. Nice comfortably appointed. Suite has entry way great for stowing ski boots. Nice amenities like the ski valet and heated outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs fun to sit in while snow on the ground around.
We are going again to this resort due to the quality of the accommodations! The one bedroom we had was very spacious so extremely relaxing. It had a great fireplace, wonderful kitchen, deluxe master suite, super washer/ dryer, and was quite with a fabulous view.
We love the Sunrise Lodge in Park City, this was our third time to stay here. We are Hilton Grand Vacation owners. We love Park City Utah for all the things to do in all seasons. The rooms are luxurious and we are able to cook in suite or use the grill to prepare our own meals when not enjoying the many restaurants in town.
I love the Hilton Sunrise Lodge and its convenience to snow skiing.... You can shop at Wal-Mart or Fresh Market the first day you arrive and really never have to leave the Canyons area. There is also a convenient little grocery in the Canyons area that has some basic food items along with beer wine and liquor.
